Well at least you know it's not going to be any worse (it can't get any worse can it?).

Just hope that he doesn't go wide. Perth usually don't except with Downey so it wont be as hard.

Hopefully the lads take it out on Perth and we can work on our poor goal difference.

Ok, I have had time to sit down, eat a packet of Mallowpuffs and reflect on tonight and the future.

We will get 3 points against Perth next week.

The nix will be fired up for this one, would like to see us smash them but will take a 90 min og if it means we win. Be interesting to see what/ if any changes to the starting 11 for this match?

My crystal ball says nix 4-0
tea leafs  3-1
My heart says 8-1
my kids say we will lose.....goddamn them (no xmas for them)

Unchanged lineup I think, unless Paston is truely broken. Daniel or Hearfield could come in for a CM to get us some go-forward perhaps.
We need to keep Ruka under close watch, but if we do that we should keep a clean sheet and hopefully score 3+ goals

The Nix will win by 3.

That is all.  Carry on.

Normally after a 6-1 loss I would say no way but there are three reason we loss.

1) Set pieces are so crap it is a free header almost always inside our own box and when we have them we normally don't trouble any team especially last night.

2) Muscat was outclassed and out-paced next time we play them no way should he be starting.

3) Defence collapsed. Don't know why but in the second half our defence was MIA. I would say this was down to Paston not being there although many would disagree with me.

All in all I think we should try give Christie another go at RB he is fairly quick and against a team like Perth it wouldn't be too big of a risk. Tbh everytime Moss made a "great save" it always resulted in a goal.

A word of caution before we carried away with the prospect of Perth.

We've been Sydney FC to Perth's Wellington Phoenix twice already this season.

On the plus side, we've got them at home this time.

Whats wrong with Mulligan? He injured? I really think he should be given another chance at right back before we give Christie a shot.

Although I think Mulligan played terribly when he came in earlier in the season, I reckon some of that could be put down to lack of match fitness. Any player is going to struggle if they haven't played for 6 months or whatever it was.

He was absolute sh*te against Waitakere in a game that he should have been able to stroll throuigh

Washed my Phoenix 08 shirt with a new blue polo shirt (I'm new at this) and now its turned blue.

Looks like I'll have to buy another one this week.

Looks like Paston's out from what I've heard, could be wrong though. Keep Manny in there, he's a prober fullback and will have a much easier job against Perth, We need Siggy in the middle as well. Would also like to perhaps see Hearfield or Daniel come into the midfield to get us a bit more attacking strength.

Jesus, what's the world coming to? Now people are asking for Mulligan to get back in? If he'd played against AU we'd have conceded 12.

But there should be a place for Dodd in there, I'd keep Siggy in although he didn't have a great game, so I'd leave Durante out. Keep Muscat at right back, he did struggle on Friday, but was very exposed with very little help from midfield.el grapadura2008-12-07 12:49:34

Same but put McKain to the centre and move Ferrente and to the left.

Sunday star times reports that Paston out for a month.

We probably need a guest goal keeper....and if Spoonley is in Auckland City's squad, and Imray involved with team welly. Wonder who it would be.

Dadi could well be an issue as well. If we give him to much room then his ability to hold up the ball = trouble, with/out roo-ka-vit-sa

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

can't understand why we are seemingly placing a lot of blame on manny, all of the back four played poorly, but then the defensive structure as a whole was sh*te. Noone seemed to want to defend......Manny was one of the reason we beat melbourne, he sut Alsopp down perfectly.....he has to be a right back with Siggy and Dura in the mid, Lochy in his usual LB spot. Dodd will be unlucky but start on the bench.
