Bye to another fair weather fan.

When I bought my season ticket I though they might at least try, but they cant even do that with a playoff spot on the line.

Ballane's right - you can't throw in your support because of a disappointing performance and result.

You think that they weren't 'trying'? God you're an idiot. Of course they were trying. They just couldn't get it together.

It's pathetic saying that you wont support them because of one disappointing performance.

Nice to see that young guy Danning so happy after the game though. It was a very cool finish from him I have to say.

True, but with footballers those two qualities tend to go together. With almost all footballers, you get passion or you get brains - rarely both.
Mmm come to think of it that also sounds like supporters.

Moss? similar type of effort to Paston against Ruka...sure 1 on 1 is never the keepers fault...eh. have a good night guys. who knows? a win against melbourne and adelaide with hat tricks to Draper and Costa might just get us there...

Everything went wrong for us.
1. Ben Williams
2. Durante got injured
3.Kwasnik got injured in the warm up
4. Hearfield got redcarded
5. Casual performances from some of our players

You sound like one of the 'fans' (wouldnt say supporter) that slated the team early in the season and then jumped on the bandwagon when they started winning again. if you want to share in the glory when we're good, you have to take the bad.

I completely blame Hearfield for that. Sure it was a soft send off but it could have easily been avoided if he'd just taken the free kick instead of being a t**ser. Cost us a spot in the finals. w**ker.

Thought we played really well in the first half, but fell away in the second - opposite to our normal gameplay.  Shame Hearfield was sent off for a 'headbutt' when Sydney were cheating all game.  Still our nerves showed out there as time went on and the pressure got to us.

Its not over though, first ever win vs Adelaide to come next week then a tense game against Melbourne with everything riding on it.

Useless game.  Didn't even want it.  Hearfields "offence" wasn't red-cardable, but he probably should've been sent off earlier.  He should've scored as well.  Really disappointing.

And the ref should've let Tim Brown take the free-kick before the game ended from the blatant shirt tugging.

Garry you sound like a right knob. Shouldn't matter whether the Nix win, lose or draw, it's about getting out for the boys. It's people like you that make the attendance small like they are. Even if you give 150% every game, you wont win them all, because everyone else on the park is giving 150% at the same time, except Ben Williams.

Maybe Hearfield had a few bob on with Grant Brebner, Kevin Muscat and Craig Moore???

So they 'tried' for the entire season and then stopped trying for the most important game? That is stupid. You think that players don't always 'try' and play to their best potential every game? It just doesn't happen.

f**k off if you can't support a team that loses every now and then.

That sums up how I feel for the season.

We aren't going to miss the playoffs due to playing crap or a lack of effort, but simply not being decisive and incisive at one end, and making too many basic errors at the other.

Well atleast part of your post was right Ricki's tactics were terrible we should of just played like last week not go for the "conservative" approach.

Dude that was a blatant cheap shot forearm to the head. Not cool regardless how you spin it. We are better than that and shouldn't lower our standards. Hearfield will be a marked man if not careful

not serious mate..brosque the w**ker obviously steps into him and hearfield just jumps out of the road..no blatant forearm..

Good goal by Danning, he was well played in by Brosque. Smeltzy looked largely uninterested until the last 2 minutes. Hearfields sending off was a poor decision in my opinion, Brosque should have been red carded at the same time at least... Daniel looked average off the bench too.

On the contrary, Hearfield was an idiot.  He should have gone for what he did to Brosque in the first half.  He got away with that and Brosque then used his experience to get him sent off.  Brainless.  Yet again we implode away from home with a result in sight.  If Ricki really is only looking for four players next season I'm seriously concerned.  Tonight exposed all our shortcomings yet again.  Just before they scored we were f**king about with it on the edge of their box and no one took responsibility to put the ball into the area.  We had no idea how to open them up - no pace, no passion, no idea.  No one played badly but overtall we just are not good enough.

There is no way you can justify that from Hearfield. I know you're his bum buddy but seriously.

It was a game that summed up our season really. A couple of things here, a couple of things there. Some good stuff, some not so good stuff and a decent goal against us that was relatively simple in creation (1-2), but one we couldn't create ourselves

We have tried hard some games and others just no even shown up. i thought we at least competed in this game compared to some others.
I'll still carry a flame for the last 2 games but we realistically need 6 points because if CCM even get 1 win, we are gone on goal difference. Against Melbourne and Adelaide thats nigh improbable but not impossible.

Hopefully next year we sign a big dominating CM as we do need a feild marshall and a couple of quality strikers. The first step to that is getting FFA to extend the license so we can sign 3 year deals. That and clean some wood out, Coveny, Johnson definitely, the rest well....

Lets cheer then for the last home game of the season. If they possibly needed the points before the Sydney game, well they are non negotiable now.
