2) Ferrante to replace Brown, possibly Plodder.
I'd love to see the colour of the sky in your world bro cause what ever sh*t you're smoking, I'll take two of...
I'd go with exactly Ricky's starting line-up from Adelaide, but swap Plodder in for Brown. Ferrante is a good passer, but not physically strong enough. If McKain has as much forward vision as he showed in the second half last game, then we'll have good drive through the middle, but our wings are obviously the main avenue.
Amen to that. Ferrante is not a defensive midfielder.

Jeez man, maybe we should bring back Clebo, Old and farken Trapattoni and play all 3 in place of Brown! We are going to need to attack Melbourne, or else good bye play-offs! If Ferrante played for Brown he would be in a more advanced position, while McKain would keep his holding midfielder role. I implied, and hoped not to have to explain (as I am forced to do), a change in personnell AND in tactics. Yeah, I know it's hard to grasp that the human brain can carry out two tasks at once.

..Ferrante..
If he is put as an attacking midfielder lets hope that he only makes plays and doesnt take shots.

I hope he doesn't too. Lets let McKain take some shots

Lets hope Micky takes a few shots and two of them rifle into the top left and top right corners of the net - scoring against his old club as Vinnie Lia did last season.

Hmm.. Am I right in thinking McKain took a shot either on sunday or the last home game that went horribly askew?
Better him than Ferrante though i suppose

check the article on front page! Give you a hint (last line!)

That was the only choice Ricky could make. Don't think Johnson is match-fit or in much favour at the moment. Plodder hasn't really shone when he came off the bench (and until he proves me wrong, I think he's more of a full back/winger than a CM),  so who was he going to start??

I think that's not a bad idea. Ferrante has solid passing and whilst he may not be the best long-range shooter...well, nobody apart from Smeltzy really is good at this sort of things, so we just gotta pray that he'll feed the strikers.

I'd love to see the colour of the sky in Agent 47's head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why the nix will win:

Does anyone remember the Warriors also playing at Melbourne paying $6 and no one expected them to win and they did.

AND

Today holidaying in Auckland and on the beach a seagull shat on my fever tee signeling good luck.

Plus the nix were paying like 6 bucks no the aussie betting site.

I know who i'll be putting my money on. GO THE NIX!

Hmm. I want everybody taking shots on Friday, including Mossy. They can't score from a goal-kick!

The more the merrier, and I don't care if Mickey F cannons one into the back of the net off his arse. As long as we score at least 1 more than they do, I'll be a happy man.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Let's face it, we're screwed really.  If we win on Friday, and that's a big IF, then that removes the need for Adelaide to try and get a result against CCM who will only need a draw.  So it doesn't really matter who plays on Friday IMO.  Can you see the Reds going all out with the play offs coming up?  No, me neither.  We've had two good chances in two weeks to put ourselves in the box seat and failed.  One point from six is not play off form and it's arguable that a team who hasn't been top four at any point in the season shouldn't be there at the end.

That's my two cents worth.  Call me a miserable pessimist but that's our reality.

When we beat Mebourne on Friday and the Roar thrash Perth on Saturday Adelaide will have to beat the Mariners to win the minor premiership.

Can't be bothered checking on it but if we beat the Tards, isn't there a chance that Queensland can come top if Adelaide draw with CCM?

Surely that would be some small incentive for them to go out and win. ***** he said, clutching desperately at hope*****

There's also the small matter of the top team securing an ACL spot.

If we win, and Queensland win by 2 goals or more, then Adelaide have to win to come first

The league is too cloase for the whole loosing on purpose thing to happen. And besides if for some reason it appears to happen that way we'll just have to do better next year! first things first lets beat the tards tomorrow night and worry about what Adelaide will/wont do afterwards.

Or we can beat the Tards and not worry... it's not exactly like we can do something about it... unless we send News over there with his waitress uniform on prior to the match to mix their 'sports' drinks
