So according to this poll question we don't have a GRRR RIVAL

Poll
What rivalry are you most looking forward to?
29% - Victory v Heart33% - Sydney FC v Wanderers16% - Glory v Roar4% - Reds v Victory6% - Mariners v Jets12% - Phoenix v any Aussie team

Thank you for voting!

I thought they were always trying to push Perth as our derby rivals purely by the fact that they are so far away.

So was it Smith () or Boyd () who got the third goal?

Anyone at the game willing to rate our new man stien in his first performance?

I read the same about Totori too - average. I still hold my opinion he should not be in this team and all the recent showings do nothing to convince otherwise.

Grumpy old bastard alert

Totori not up to scratch for me. Prefer Fenton for his work rate and decision making and has a knack for scoring goals. The back heel to set up Smiths goal was class.

Stein looked the goods when he got the ball. Unfortunately wasn't that often... Once Ifills back I can see those two causing some headaches!

Fenton was an absolute standout, the backheel wasn't quite like Kosta. Lochhead crossed it deep and he backheeled it back central to Boyd/Smith who scored. Huysegems was pretty rusty, but some good touches. I really want to see us lineup like this when fully fit:

Paston,

Bertos, Durante, Sigmund, Lochhead

Muscat, Sanchez, Smith

Ifill, Huysegems, Brockie

But it will most likely be

Same back 5

Ifill, Muscat, Smith, Totori,

Brockie, Huysegems

Which is disappointing because Totori doesn't look up to it.

Huysemgems ok.  Couple of good touches, but missed a couple of decent chances.  Played mostly back to goal.

Fenton great (again).  Much better than Totori.  Smith impressed me again.  Bertos is a dodgy defender.

Good game to watch. Thought Smith had another great game in the midfield. He will have a big season.
Really liking the pace up front now although that's all Benji had tonight - Like his confidence to have a shot on goal but often has better options. Getting very predictable. Still excited to see what he can do when the season starts though.

Sanchez must be quite a while away? Not walking to well.

And still no sign of the Pav.

Huysegems looked okay..I didnt sit on the edge of my seat at any point but he looked capable of holding the ball well and the one? time he got the ball facing the right direction he had shot which was good.  missed a few "sitters".  Put it down to jetlag and lack of match fitness.  Totori did enuff to warrant a subs spot I think but as noted above he doesnt always know when to pass having beat one or two players.  But he did do a few good through balls which is part of our play which is lacking sometimes.

Bertos at RB aint going to work IMHO..he cant contain his desire to go forward so if 3 at the back is what is desired then he might still operate as wingback.  I ttought others did better that might mean his starting place is in doubt..haha.  Boyd looked good..as did Fenton.

The constant back passing still frustrates me..we are not fast enough of thought to lok up for a quick ball up or out wide and I thnk Huysegems got a bit frustrated a few times.

Everyone missed a few sitters, Steiny, Leo, Benji, Fenton, Boyd, Smith etc couldve been 10-0.  You could see Huysegems awareness coming through, he seems to have a knack for where everyone is, and looks to be a fan of quick one touch football which is good.

My standouts were Leo and Fenton. Fenton looks be getting better every game, i hope he starts against Wanderers

Defend what? Opposition were woeful. Hes best when hes going forward and going forward he was in good form and beat his man nearly every time, put in a lot of good balls into the box. Shouldve had a few assists to his name. The time will come where he'll have to keep more defensively minded but given the opposition it wasnt really testing for him and he wouldve been bored shitless sitting back on halfway the entire game. I thought he made good use of himself last night.

Well the 3 or 4 times he was asked to defend he looked horrible. once where he was flat footed and just hacked down the player at halfway after he got skinned.  The other was where he left the striker free around the six yard box from a cross, but luckily for him the striker fluffed his shot.
