I hope so. But never had that impression in the past. In fact I avoided kiwitea street last time because couldn't be bothered turning up there in nix gear (and I was extremely hungover and needed a bed)

What happened to Joel Stevens? Havn't heard his name been mentioned plus he didn't travel to Rotorua and now not travelling to Auckland as well? Maybe Ernie doesn't think he is up to it physically yet. Technically I thought he had the goods.

Pretty sure he was at the Family Day, so maybe injured?

Came off during a training game with tee dubs last Wednesday with tightness.

In my experience at Kiwitea, there's a small group of anti-WPFC trolls, but I think it's in a large part due to the fact that it's no fun hating Waitakere United because they have no fans. They've got less ammunition now anyway since Terry and Ricki are gone.

Anyway, my team-building got cancelled so I'll be there.

Well, we'll all see if FOOTBALL VIOLENCE erupts at Kiwitea on Saturday. (It has never erupted with ACFC's other grrrrival because WUFC have no fans.)

Anyway, I am refusing to leave my shoe with any Knitting Circle member if he orders me to go get him a Bovril.

Sorry kids , still not as funny as this !!

Hi All, sorry if this has already been mentioned......But I'm going to be in Auckland this weekend so I wanted to know if Phoenix Season ticket members get free entry in to this game Vs Auckland City FC if they show their season pass @ KIWITEA or is this an Auckland run thing....Thx

Masters Grade aint no run in the park on a Saturday...

It is free for season pass holders.  But you have to pass through the lines of knitting circlers and get a beating/stabbing as you enter.

Unofficial and Probably Incompetent Live Blog

Yes, can confirm that I'll be live blogging Nix vs Auckland City this Saturday, barring technical problems or really bad hangovers.

It will be here:
http://sure-to-rise.blogspot.co.nz/

It'll be covered using a CoverItLive window within the blog, so you can also view the event using the Android / Iphone CoverItLive app. Don't ask me how it works, pretty sure you just grab the app and find the appropriate event.

Auckland City will be having a live blog as well. Have received some passes so will be attending so I can tweet about how excellent John Irving is throughout the encounter, or at least that's the plan....

Really? I might not bother then. Its pretty hard to watch the game while blogging.

That is indeed true, it's hellishly hard. I don't have exact confirmation, but ACFC nearly always have live blogs - they did for the Ba friendly last night and the Nix game is garnering plenty more attention than that.
However, a different perspective would be nice, though maybe Twitter or the Forums would be easier for that.

I just figure it's on twitter, radio, someone else's live blog, and I don't get to watch the nix live that much so, yeah, probably not going to bother..

TAB will announce tomorrow that they're offering odds on this game. Nix at $2 and Auckland City at $3.10. Draw $3.50.

I will be punting on this. Auck City not bad money at $3.10 - chance for ACFC fans to put their (piles of) money where their (large) mouths are!! :)

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Nice to see droves of people turning up for this highly important pre-season fixture. Fortunately, I'll be somewhere over the Tasman Sea so I don't need to make the call as to whether to support the mighty ACFC or steer clear to avoid all the nauseating yellow and black that's sure to be at Kiwitea St as Phoenix 'fans' from places as far off as Mt Albert come to see their beloved local, Australian team pit themselves against their pesky 'rivals' ACFC.

I'd like to be at Kiwitea, cool ground for atmosphere. Unfortunately our junior club break up is Sat. I hope its entertaining, like the game at Vegas was.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Never mind you can have a good snooze on your flight over to West West Auckland.
