How much of an age gap is there between Rudan and Dura? Rudan would still be decent right?

I'd much prefer Flamini  - old gold

Given Burns scored in the first half he likely started. I guess just seeing the number of different formations you've posted all with obvious errors is getting a little repetitive.

Obvious errors? The Nix used one of those formations this year, more or less,  and had a rare win. Play the ball not the man.

No he is quite right. You do not know what you are talking about Bunter

Rudan is about 6 years older.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Unless we sign someone tomorrow, Ben Waine will probably have to kit up and sit on the bench for Tuesdays game. Tratt, Wooding & De Jong will be cup-tied, so are ineligible to play even if signed.

Urrgh its on a sky popup channel so if you have Fanpass like I do you wont get to watch it.

Apparently live sport is less important than a show about rugby, a show about league, highlights of superbikes, AFL and the Volvo ocean race and an Australian talk show.

its football, get sky for real and you'll have no issues.

Its also live sport, which you think should have preference over replays and sport talk shows.

Yes and no. Could mean a drop in production. Can't see websites stumping up for cameras and production. They aren't always great but multiple subscriptions to watch the sport I want doesn't seem like much progress

Production is a fraction of the cost of what it was five years ago.

It's also a glorified pre season tournament... does the average Joe Blogs outside of this forum even know about it, or would.

I reckon you could out fit a production quality live broadcasting unit for under one hundred k, that's less than what a company like lightbox is paying for an engineer.

Guessing we line up like this tomorrow night

                  Kurto

Lowry Taylor Durante Doyle

       Kopczyński Rufer

          Singh Nichols

  Burns                    Krishna

Bench: Sail Fox Cacace Fenton Williams

[Edit: sounds like Williams isn't fit, so swap him for Ben Waine]

Signed Rufer just in time then! I'm guessing we can't play players on trial.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Nope and most NPL players will be cup-tied. So Tratt, de Jong & Wooding were no chances for tomorrow.

This is blatantly false - OFC TV are the prime example of a company that's managed to do it.

Comments from Rudan re: Kopy;

"He’s only been here for 10 days, and our league is very transitional. Against Roar he said he felt it was very tough."

Wonder how he'll go tonight? Obviously still settling in, but I feel like he's our most important signing so far. If he finds it tough, we will struggle this season.

I'm going with two mates - heading to the Crown Plaza Hotel before the game to meet up with the other fans and to get the bus

Most of the Polish national team that honked like a flock of geese at the WC in Russia were not home based, and Kopa is not even at that level.   In contrast, I expect to see a decent quality performance from Kurto.

Watching Kopczynski play would be a useful guide on the quality of a your average local player in Polish Ekstraklasa.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Fair, will be interesting. Let's hope for better than Paracki.

I've missed game days. Fire up! Really hope we win tonight, the more we win in the FFA Cup the more good quality sides we will face in pre-season, which I think is really key to a good start this season. Which is particularly important since we have a tough run home near the end of the season.

What do we expect Kopy to say... its a sharke league?

Every player talks up the league they are in until they go to another one. Means nothing

Above average? I mean, he was the starting midfielder in a Championship winning side.
