Wow, Ben Waine, every post a winner. Who needs an import striker!

Waine playing this well is so good to see. He's somewhat of a cult figure amongst younger Phoenix fans because he's been the crown jewel of Wellington youth football for years. For people that played against him or watched him play in junior grades he's practically a household name. Him playing regularly will bring a lot of younger people to the Stadium and hopefully help breed a new generation of Yellow Fever.

Enjoying it as well but dont go to early,early  the last thing the lad needs is fan pressure.People can turn against so quick.Repeating it when it counts will be the big test.Some of those experienced defenders wont be so keen a new kid shows them up.

Appiah tore up in a pre season too, let's wait and see, but certainly doing himself no harm.

He looked decent in his appearances last season. Unlucky not to score

It's taken ten years but the Phoenix are finally starting to do what was promised, young local guys coming through the system is such great news.

Not much point getting rid of him not using an import slot will still have 3 more spots after we get our final import. Plus he has the raw qualities to be decent just need to get his final product to be better.

If every professional player got dropped after one bad game, then they'd be no one left to play.

I think WSW have recruited well and both Sydney teams are going to be strong this season.

These two preseason games are going to be a real step up for us. Just what we need.
