Won't go to these games any more. Last one I went too, there wasn't any football played at all by either team. Complete waste of time.

so just like the A-League games?

I can assure you I wouldn't have been a season ticket holder for 10 years if that's what was dished up!

Nah, you can keep your pre-season kickabout nonsense, they have lost me on that one.

I'd suggest that you are not the target market.  Went for the first half, sat up on the bank, saw some goals and my 3 year old loved it.  He is now pumped for the upcoming early(ish) games at the big stadium.

This is all we know

Two weeks would put them back in time for the Home & Garden show if they wanna do that again.

Awesome, thanks very much.

Going back to the game at Weka Park, did you remind the ref that the indirect free kick for the Capital Selection side was awarded on the wrong spot?

Me? I haven't run a line in ages. (Easier to just walk etc etc)

That's nothing compared to my error at the restart of play last weekend. Thankfully no one noticed it seemed.

Speaking of what was the IDFK for? Was it pass back or obstruction?? I missed that bit as did everyone around me

Wow, Ben Waine, every post a winner. Who needs an import striker!

Waine playing this well is so good to see. He's somewhat of a cult figure amongst younger Phoenix fans because he's been the crown jewel of Wellington youth football for years. For people that played against him or watched him play in junior grades he's practically a household name. Him playing regularly will bring a lot of younger people to the Stadium and hopefully help breed a new generation of Yellow Fever.

Enjoying it as well but dont go to early, early  the last thing the lad needs is fan pressure.People can turn against so quick.Repeating it when it counts will be the big test. Some of those experienced defenders wont be so keen a new kid shows them up.

Appiah tore up in a pre season too, let's wait and see, but certainly doing himself no harm.

The fact he might be relegating Sotirio to the training paddock is what is exciting me atm. I didn't expect Waine to be in contention for the bench until the end of the season, he is still at high school until the end of the year.

He looked decent in his appearances last season. Unlucky not to score

If a player is not cutting it, can we just tell them to get! Or do we have to pay them out?.

Sotorio might be an early contendor.

Not much point getting rid of him not using an import slot will still have 3 more spots after we get our final import. Plus he has the raw qualities to be decent just need to get his final product to be better.

If every professional player got dropped after one bad game, then they'd be no one left to play.

So, when are the Sydney games?

A WSW sauce told me we play them at 3pm Wednesday.

I think WSW have recruited well and both Sydney teams are going to be strong this season.

These two preseason games are going to be a real step up for us. Just what we need.

He hasn't told me yet. He is really hard to please, so I'll probably get told both teams were rubbish.

But if its their twitter, its to be expected.

Looking at the u23 Aussie games it sounded like the bossed the first game, but it wasn't the case. Take everything and anything with a pinch of salt.
