I'm not particularly pessimistic, it's just an assessment. But I'm sick of rebuilding seasons, we have too many in a row. I also want to be entertained. A good start would be to trash the Bitumens.

That's nice for you and your pessimism - but meanwhile, back in the real world of the Phoenix season, they have replaced/lost half the squad from last year - and many of the replacements haven't played an A-League season - yet.

So you can change the word rebuilding with underperforming but the fact is - it is a rebuilding season with next year looking brighter.

So like a lot of us you have already written the season off until next year.

Right let's just sign a bunch of undetermined aging Aussies on one-year deals and end up the exact same way we have every other season

I'm quite enjoying the fact that I have absolutely no idea how good or bad this team will be

1 goal conceded in these last two friendlies is a good sign considering how many goals we conceded last year and with an import ST still to come I wouldn't worry too much abt goals scored

Watched some FFA cups and wondered how we were tracking compared to other teams.

Nobody knows. Imports not firing up, lot of young untested players, some talent, new coach in his first solo gig. We don't know the look of the kit we are playing. The word is 'transition season'.

By all accounts we looked pretty good today. Also nice to see Victory beat Western United 6 - 0

There was rumours of an ACFC game next weekend but Domey said that isn't happening.

I feel bad for not hunting down a more obscure photo - maybe Mike Moore and Geoffrey Palmer.

You should feel ashamed. Disgustingly poor level of commitment.

I do wonder if you have the address wrong for this weekend though.

Possibily/Probably. Had heard two different stories from different people, but such is life. I guess we could only talk about nix press release, but wouldn't that be boring?

I asked Joey Lynch, who covers the Melbourne based teams and he hasn't heard any details about the game yet.

Is the Melbourne game even happening? The team still seems to be here.

As I understand it, the games tomorrow at Endeavour are WeeNix v Team Wellington and WeeWeeNix v Team Wellington NYL.

My understanding is the same as Andrew's above, but like I said it very much looks like the first team is still in Wellington so guessing that chances of a game in Melbourne this weekend aren't particularly high.

ahh so it is - I just read Phoenix, but just relooked at it and it does say Phoenix National League team (wish they'd just use Weenix!)
