That doesn't seem a very strong side

more of an invitational eleven as opposed to a 'select' side...

There are Prem players or even Cap1 players that could have been picked! Having said that Craig Bailey and Billy Scott played half the season in Cap1

Compared to every other HAL side we are behind the ball here. Any friendly has to be a good thing even if its against pub teams or school kids like this one.

It'd be fair to say that pre-season friendlies in Wairarapa and Kapiti are more about fan engagement in those catchments rather than actual pre-season football.

Won't go to these games any more. Last one I went too, there wasn't any football played at all by either team. Complete waste of time.

That was just me speculating that it might be the streamed game but Patrick says that is a NZ based game.

If it is NZ-based, it may well be played outside Wellington.

The  they should do better job of letting us know as they walk out who they payers are, as some are not recognisable especially the second stringers.  Football is never that great but it is a game to watch.

I was disappointed about last week game, I thought it was a poor standard by the Nix, but everyone else here seems quite excited about certain players and thought it is all normal.

Promoting the side in the 'regions'.  Outreach to the community.  Spreading joy.  Low intensity game time for the squad...

He is still at school as well, once Libby finished last season there was a noticeable jump in his performances. I've been thinking he is still a year away from the AL but if he makes a leap once he leaves school, maybe he makes an impact at the end of the season.
