Is the Melbourne game even happening? The team still seems to be here.

doesn't look like it Wests are on facebook  saying Phoenix are playing Team Wellington tomorrow at Endeavour Park 2pm KO, preceded by TW v Weenix Youth

As I understand it, the games tomorrow at Endeavour are WeeNix v Team Wellington and PeeWeeNix v Team Wellington NYL.

Sotirio and Davila have already flown to Melbourne today according to their instagram story but not sure what is happening other than that

Weird.

I used to live in that town.

Don't remember that street though.

Philip Rollo tweeted that no one would disclose the score against the victory but Tulley hinted that they're still undefeated against a league opposition this preseason.

Maybe that's why we "didn't lose", we didn't win because of a missed pen ?

Seen a couple of forum/twitter posts suggesting the score against Victory was 1-1.

Nothing concrete to support that though.

Asked someone who said they attended the behind closed doors game and they confirmed it was 1 all but couldn't tell who scored Wellington's goal (top corner from range), Toivonen penalty for Victory

Not a bad pre-season in terms of results for us then, very promising defensive displays it seems.

Alex Rufer hopefully, as a prelude to his breakout season

Very bizarre decision not to disclose the score. I get the fact that you want to play the match behind closed doors and not show any highlights... But keeping the score secret I haven't come across before...

You must have missed the article.

In this PC correct Gender Neutral World this is the way of the future. There are to be no scores or winners in sport in case the minority get offended.

I'm not sure why you've equated a closed doors football match (pretty common) with 'PC correct Gender Neutral World'? It's almost as if you've got some kind of agenda not related to football.

then they will have played a very, very good game of football. We've played both Sydney teams and the Vuck, who all look locked on for top 6 on paper and came out of it without a loss.

TeeDubs are still filling the squad, they have a few trialists at the moment, and are very, very early in the pre-season.

Anything but a very comfortable win by the Nix would be a big surprise.

No need to apologise.

Although, It does highlight how the use of the English language can be used in many different ways, sometimes, the same words can mean totally different things, especially if they are taken out of context!

What appears to be lacking, in the current PC world, is the ability to differentiate between the subject of a joke, & the target of a joke.

I would put the responsibility of differentiation on the teller of the joke though (as they are the only one who can be completely sure of the target & subject), rather than the listener and if confusion is occurring it may be the delivery method that needs work - but yes, written language is notoriously difficult to read with the correct tone, especially if you've already made a judgement of the person writing it.

Anyway, how much are we gonna beat TeeDubs by?
