I would've just put Imray in goal. He's one of the best keepers in NZ easily. And has benched for the Nix before.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this but to get the free buses to the game do we just flash our membership cards?

I'd assume so, he's lived in NZ for over 10 years now.

Jeez would that mean Jonathan Gould rushed to the bench?

Or Tamati rushed to Auckland airport.

Could be. I'm confused with all these ACFC/Nix/All Whites comings and goings.

Imray is playing in the sponsor's curtain raiser game. Probably quite hard logistically to get him contracted this late.

Fuck this stupid game

A stunning victory plucked from the jaws of defeat would be a nice way to kick the season off. Or 4-0.

More clarity - he's going to be assessed during warm-ups. Hopefully he doesn't chunder during the game.

And what are the options if he doesn't come through that?

This seems a bit familiar to me - has Spoonley not had a similar thing happen while on the Nix books in the past?

But who would the reserve GK be? Adams at right back. Hicks starting is quite a talking point given that he's on a one week contract!

Let's go Hicks. Fantastic.

Shame about Gulley though. Adams most definitely offers nothing going forward at RB. Bit of a worry and totally goes against Ernies wing back philosophy

I would rather have a RB who is solid defensively with less ability to get forward than the other way around.

Fuck this stupid game

That's a decent point, immobility wont be helpful for his usual game-plan Hicks will be slightly out of position, but he's adaptable, hopefully he can cut inside and cause some havoc. Confident he'll be able to pass it around with ease at worst.
