Almost certainly 5-3-2.

I'd be surprised if we saw anything but a 5-3-2, considering how pre-season has gone.

Lots of question marks here. Doyle/Fox, Mandi/Rufer (considering Mandi's fitness), Williams/Burns. Kopa has also been injured, and unsure how bad that has been. I wonder where/if Nichols fits in anywhere too. I'd be pissed if he's starting instead of Singh, who is the #1 reason I am excited for this season.

Here we are, and I should be looking forward to the first game of the season.  Instead I am having to send emails to the Nix (again, almost every year).  This time saying why has only one of my three memberships arrived.

If Dome was working for me he wouldn't have a job.  

There for the both games and equally excited about both actually. Will probably have the wee man in tow too.

Geez, the first game of the new season already?  Where did the off-season go.  I was just ready to plumb the depths of the anxiety and misery vibe.  Could we not have a couple more weeks of off-season?

And its a separate company that is contracted to produce the cards afaik, not sure how much control the Club has over the distribution of them tbh.

Thanks for the reply, but nope.  I've had emails on the signings and on my membership being sent.  Which turned out to be false.

They've been screwing up aspects of the membership process from inception.  And they are accountable for who they chose to contract and how they monitor and manage their performance.  Ten years is long enough to get this stuff right.

Hopefully they get in contact with you asap then.

I've emailed this morning and haven't heard back yet.  So I presume I am likely to get a similar response to the one you've got. 

The annoyance is that, yet again, this club cannot manage one of their most core processes without stuffing it up in the most basic of ways.  

I am not sure C-Diddy's comment that this happens everywhere is either correct or any excuse.  I have subcription memberships to a number of organisations.  None make a mess of renewal and member communication like the Nix do. 

Rant over.  Hopefully I hear from them shortly with a bar code.

Blame Ticketec. For over 12 years now and they still have not got it right. PS: No barcodes etc for me either. Am getting the player signing emails and one that said I hadn't paid last week when in fact I did at the "Meet the players" day. Squeaky bum and nerves time.

I renewed by season ticket by phone a couple of weeks back (late again...) and ended up getting it all sorted super quick. The lady I was talking to was really helpful and nice. The bar code ticket turned up in an email a short time later. Talking to the real people seems to really help move things along nicely. Whatever the faults of the automated way - the phone approach seems to work.

It is sad that every year we have this conversation instead of being buzzing and looking forward to our first game of the season. Some lessons are never learned.

It's not the club's fault, they are cornered by Ticketek's agreements with the stadium (I assume) Ticketek process the renewals and issue the passes and packs, and stuff it up every year. No point getting shirty with the club this is one of the things they have little to no control over.

they used to be cornered by that tickettek \ stadium agreement but it's not in place anymore - Hurricanes and Wgtn Lions use ticket Direct for example

This years game is kinda weird. So many unknowns so to speak. Is it wrong to be more Curious than excited? I mean on paper we could have a very good attacking team but paper does not do the job on the field.

I live in the hope we tonk someone 7-0 this season and not get tonked for once.

You're fired up over something that happens literally every year, has an easy workaround and also occurs for many other clubs, in many other sports, and many other events. I've had similar happen for concerts, for sporting events, for memberships elsewhere. If it was in control of the club, they would've fixed it by now.

I've noticed that they've been promoting Steven Taylor a lot during the pre-season (and why wouldn't you?), and he was the Nix rep at the season launch the other day.

Would they 'split' the captaincy and have Dura as 'club captain' and Steven as 'team captain'?

I love Dura, but it's really time for him to be a sub option and wind down his career tbh.

But seeing as you've raised this again, that's not my experience with other organisations.  The opposite.  There is no organisation I am a member of, or through which I regularly book tickets, who have continued to mess up bookings virtually every time, for ten years.

So I am not 'fired up' about what has happened again this year.  I am commenting on eleven years of this issue without improvement.

But on the game.  That article on their 24 hour no food or sleep army bootcamp was a beauty.  And seems they really responded well to that.  They are going to be one tough bunch to break down mentally this year.
