When Sunday Comes... more fizzed about the start of the season for a long time....

A return to ‘Fortress Westpac’ and play some decent football would make this a good season (for me anyway)

From my experience in Auckland, which is a few years ago, it’s been Fox’s and they used to put up a big screen in the room away from the Viaduct. They’re worth supporting as it’s one of the few (if not only) places that will, or used to, put the football on when rugby is being broadcast at same time.

Right, I gave up on last season because it was depressing me too much and I needed a break. I genuinely thought the club was in a death spiral and we'd never get another licence extension but the FFA restructuring has changed that. I've stayed away from the forum for the off-season and not really thought about the nix but now it's game weekend and all of a sudden I find myself caring again...

Firing up may be a bit of an exaggeration just yet though. Gently simmering maybe?

Nah, fire the fudge up. It'll be a 2-1 win, Williams and Krishna to score a goal each on the break. We don't have the midfield to boss possession yet, our boys up top are quick and the Jets centre halves are very slow. COYN

You sound a bit overawed by the Jets, but we've beaten them before.  Roy to score on the counter!

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Well, it could indicate a united team, or given there's only 9 in the photo, could indicate a ruptured squad.

Or maybe it's just a photo and carries little meaning either way.

And where's Rudan? Is he out behind the changing rooms playing on his phone again?

fudge off, I know it's just a photo but they always looked miserable last season. It's not just this photo, it's the whole pre season that buoys me. The boys are always hanging out together and it's good to see

While some people seem to be saying we will only score from counter-attacking, I think tomorrow we'll hold possession and get people forward more than people are suggesting.

Our home record vs Newcastle is W 11, D 3, L 4.

There's the shape of a pyramid in the space between all the players in the middle of the photo. It's a sign that the illuminati are backing us this year.

I bet they turn this into a cardboard cut out and you can stand next to Burns on his right hand side and have your photo taken so it looks like you're part of the team!
