Few Victory chants could wind them up the wrong way too

Easy adaption of an existing classic

I've got a song, won't take long, Rudan's a liar

Second verse, same as the first, Rudan's a liar

Hope people spend more time on supporting the Phoenix rather than chanting shark at the opposition.

It's all good. It's only Monday. We're just letting off some steam. It's been a long off-season of navel gazing, so you'll have to excuse some poor taste over the next few days, I'd imagine. But, by kickoff, it'll be all about our Nix.

I disagree, it’s great to have the Nix back but this is our best chance to embarrass Rudan for how he’s shafted the club in front of the Aussie public

It'd be good to do something for Dura (imo). Perhaps some applause at minute 22?...

He's still a legend of our club, though I agree the song is a gawnski.

Surely "The roof, the roof, the Rufer's on fire" will get a bit of airtime

"We don't need no Rudan..."

Wow.. that's brutal. I love it.

Can't wait for the weekend!!! Let's all get our thinking caps on for new chants, never thought about losing the 'When I see the Phoenix' chant :"( Surely the banner's up for the game?

As much as we're calling western united geriatrics and and senile, they all have a lot of experience, are seasoned pros and have spent years in the a-league. I'm not so optimistic that the new boys will be a walk in the park.

Nah - I reckon the Wellington crowds are far too nice and too polite.  I'd love to see the crowd both supporting the Nix and abusing the snakes in equal meaures...

I would hope Patrick is planning to stream his drumming, live, to the stadium.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

We should all chant SNAKES, SNAKES, SNAKES, before the game to Rudas, after that we should fully focus on our team, give the new guys a warm welcome.

We still can give him some shark on social media after our win, what was his fake Twitter account again?

Thing I like about this is it doesn't get nasty or offensive, or try to hard,

just tells it like it is.

True. As per any returning player - Smeltz, Kosta, they got a few doses of "Judas" but after that it calmed down - as it should. These guys are professional and at the end of the day, they have to look after number 1 first. I think Durante would laugh at a couple of Judas calls but not if it were consistently going on. He did his bit for us, he was paid, he has moved on. We should too.

Bit different for one player to leave for their own reasons than what Rudan did though

Hopefully someone that can bang for the 90 minutes.

I took to banging on the seats to get things going last season.

Not sure how the stadium staff feel about that but atmosphere trumps sharkty plastic seats.

Personally, I really respect Rudan the man, well spoken, good style of football, I met him, shook his hand and got some advice from him. For Burgees, I was crying out for him to play more last season, he showed in games towards the end of the season what he can do.

HOWEVER

Laws of football hooliganism dictate I must put that aside for 90 minutes and give em hell.

P.S. Dura not as sad for me, I’ve been a Nix fan for a few years now so I don’t feel the same way about him that other people might.

Personally I'm not gonna boo Rudan, he is a cnut for how he treated the club but I would rather make the game about our cheering on our boys than him.

Sorry I'm a bit slow, what happened to Patrick?

Also, if a drum is supplied I will 100% volunteer. Here's my CV:

I waved one of the flags last season but it didn't have a pole and I nearly dropped it.... twice. Also, I'm to short to touch the banner when we have it.

Patrick has moved to England.

We can supply a drum (hasn't been tuned in over a season) and a drum stick (singular). If you are genuinely keen, let us know and we can sort you out for Sunday.
