Not sure why we wont venture a cross when we've got some as good as Hooper in the air.

Victory are playing 6 at the back which makes it pretty tough.

Yep, I recon against 11 we score but they're parking the bus.

Ufuk complaining about Melb time wasting is hilarious, he's been coaching the lads to do it all season.

Played well, but 2 points lost against a pretty poor Victory side.

I'll take that point and the clean sheet - another game where we've developed and stayed in the top 6.

Happy enough with a point. And the domination. Five matches unbeaten.

Melbourne were thuggish at times. But they're desperate.

Ahhh disappointing but very entertaining game. We don't get many outright duds nowadays.

Victory showed a Park the bus master class.

When we park it I wonder how many we will concede but they did very well.

Still walking away with a point I'm happy.

Ditto to that. Only a little bloke but a tough nut and a footballer with great potential.

Was funny seeing Harper absolutely dwarf him!

We should have buried them. Thought the ref was an absolute clown, but he has never been good.

2 points lost; we were incredibly predictable going forward. Not good enough. This is the worst Victory team you'll ever see. Really disappointed.

Yep and as I expected Slater and co are blaming the whole thing on the red card. Actually arguing that it was Devlin's fault for daring to challenge for the ball!

What they seem to be ignoring is that the idiot was on a yellow already and would've been sent either way. They're all idiots.

"The Wellington player shouldn't have gone in there in the first place because it was clear Dobras was going to win the ball". (Robbie Slater) What on earth are they even on!

Being disappointed with a draw away to Victory shows how far this team has come in a short time! Five unbeaten, bring on Sydney.

The guy literally karate kicked devlin with his studs up into his face! How is that not a red card? Classic biased Aussie commentators.

Yeh, sure, we should be playing Premier League or Serie A. We're not the perfect product but after years of dross this is a far superior side. Give Tallay a bit of time to lock in his squad and build a complete outfit over at least a couple of seasons.

Heck of an enjoyable game. But agree, we're still struggling to convert good play to goals.

Not quite true, they asked the question but nothing more than that. Their argument was wether or not it should have been a straight red.

I think it's a yellow, he pulls out. Either way, he's still off and honestly he was so shark that it barely changed the game.

Best thing to come out of this game was Devlin. He was terrific.

That ball which Hooper laid back, I have no idea why Davila didn't hit it first time...I thought he looked a bit off today; maybe getting a bit worn down with all the thuggery from Victory.

The idiots at Fox Football are tweaked. If he doesn't kung fu kick the ball the both players can attempt to compete for the ball with their head. It's dangerous. It's serious foul play. It's a straight red every day of the week.

Jesus how clueless are they. And they're calling it a "howler"???

The similarities between Devlin and Scrappy-Doo are astounding ?  Will he start next week or Rufer?

Devlin Devere Taylor steinmann and Ball all very good today.
So good to see us make them chase the ball all game. Devere unlucky with header

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

anyone else a bit worried that we never look like scoring? not sure how many shots on target but it felt low. never really felt like we were going to lose (which is nice!), but not up to much in that front third

I never let factual accuracy get in the way of some good old fashioned one-eyed moral outrage! But it's a fact that they did blame Devlin, and the very first thing they launched into was the lack of a foul on Kruse in the 1st half and the red card and it's impact on the game. Pretty clear where their sympathies lie imo.

wasn't meant to be but how good is this Phoenix team? Since when do we go to Melbourne, even Sydney and dominate? And missing 2 starting players. In the past we would've been absolutely steam rolled for the full 90.

Now we're capable of slick passing, intelligent play and good on the counter as well. Exciting times! Hoping they can start scoring more which is the only weakness at the moment I feel.

and then Toiveinon draws Harper. Guess its easy to kick Devlin in the head then....fair game or red card every time?

He hasn't done much wrong for the Nix so far. Pretty solid actually

Let's look at this another way. We might have dropped 2 points but we also stopped Victory from getting two points. In the past we've had some right tonkings but today I saw something I thought I'd never see - a Nix side in such dominant form, they must have had at least 65% possession.

Only saw the second half but thought we were great, just needed a bit more calmness and a more of a  direct a pproach in the box.

Wasn't a red card though, was it.

If it wasn't a straight red then it was a second yellow so doesn't make any difference really.

To be fair to him, he's gotten better each week; that applies for all of our back 4, really. So many times in the first few games we defended poorly in the box; last 4-5 we've been much better.

I agree, we really seem to struggle in open play.  Can't help but feel we would have won this and other games if we still had Krishna and Williams up top (the only players I miss from last season).
