Davila clearly has no confidence in Waine or Sotirio to do anything

Devlin has been really poor today. Steinmann the only one who has been decent in the middle. Payne has been bad too.

sigh..Waine was better placed

Yep just then he looked up, saw it was Sotirio and decided to go by himself rather than pass it...

Looks like Libby has no confidence in the front two either.

Very frustrating to watch the Nix wasting time when there is still 6 minutes to go - poor display today

Our poorest game in many weeks. If Ball is injured we may see something similarly bad next week

Was hoping they wouldn't bring Simon on, looking more threatening now.

That was the worst attempt at time wasting in the corner there I've ever seen by Devlin ha

A better side would have scored once or twice. Thankfully the Mariners are a bottom-level team. Not the worst, but still without the striking quality to make us pay

That sounds weird what Fred was saying about SA refs give penalities when holding possession in the corner... seems arbitrary.

Just keep the fudgeing ball. Dumb.

The ball is in play though

Thank God we chose CCM to have our worst half in a long time against!

A poor performance but we pulled through. We'll take it.

Davila MOTM, worked his ass off. If Ball is out for a few weeks, we may struggle going forward.

Not the best by the boys today - we were luck to get the points today.

I feel sorry for Mariners fans today (hi Midfielder).  Deserved something from the game tonight.  We played bad for 70 minutes.

Exactly.

Easy to use more time up knocking it around the midfield than they ever wasted trying to hold it in the corner.

Just knock it round, drive forward to push ccm back, that check, knock it back and recycle. Keep the ball where there is plenty of space,

How long until Cacace is off to Europe? He's absolute class.

Three for me, and two for them.

Heh Taylor having a slight dig at Cacace there...

Sotirio is crud. Wasted so many attacks. Took so many bad options.

Not a great performance especially defensively but we got there. Mariners were better than I expected to be fair too and probably deserved a point.

No they didn't. The nix weren't great particularly after Ball went off, but CCM were worse, they didn't even score a goal. Second half was messy from both sides, but the nix deserved the 3 points for a dominant first half display.

Sotirio being here for another 2 years is mind boggling to me; Cacace was running the length of the field so Davila didn't have to pass to him.

Will take the win. Move on, sort our shark out before next week.

We should have won away against the Vucktree - we should have dropped 2 points here. I guess it all evens out in the end.

I find it hard to think that some here were badmouthing me and others for openly saying how poor he is and questioning his contract extension.

He proved his uselessness today.  He's a forward so needs to at least get his shots on goal.  We already have enough players in the team who can't/won't shoot/score, we don't need him to be like that too.

I really don't understand how people think the Nix played bad enough to deserve to drop two points. Statistically we were all over CCM, and the scoreline fairly reflects that. It wasn't really even close, I think the recent run of good results has gone to peoples heads.

Winning ugly. Sign of a good team. Will take the win.
