How is there any humour in that?

Why don't you just ignore him? if you don't like it

Well I guess that's Fenton done for good. Best to get the shotgun out and take him for a walk behind the barn

Not laughing at him getting hurt. I'm laughing at our luck.

Trying to listen to the game via Radio Sport but the chick doing the commentary is so slow with the names of the players and is pretty much all around terrible.  Sounds bad for Fenton though.

Ernie wants Bertos to play left wing.

Bloody hell, Fenton has a shoulder made of glass!

He was doing ok but his crossing is woeful. Still, another injury is just a tad annoying.

I've commented on this a few times now. They do this so often. Get into a semi decent position where they might as well try their luck, but choose to send it all the way back . . . . . . . . . . . .

Might as well take Cunningham off now as well then

Pretty happy with that first half from us. Brockie has been poor though, not doing a lot but when he is involved he's been counter productive for us.

Fuck this stupid game

I read that too. Very odd unless he is advocating the cut in and maverick style player. Would explain why Fenton cuts in so often

I could get used to these adequate away performances. After games in past seasons I'd wake up frothing and clawing the air.

This looks like one of these games where both teams are half asleep, and the final score can be 0:0 or 0:1 simply because of a lucky/unlucky goal from nowhere, usually called by the commentators as "against the run of play".  I wonder what the halftime orders from both coaches will be.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

This has the hall marks of a draw.

re: Fenton. I feel for the lad and he looks in absolute fucking pain. He popped it preseason, it popped in and out last week and its popped again today and as he said and we saw, he can't get it back in. I commented on this last week but he is in danger of needing surgery because he is getting into the territory of the sloppy floppy joint where the ligaments stretch and they don't retract. Popping 3 times since September??? Thats really not good for the lad at all. I really hope they do right by him.

I am not expecting Ernie to ring in any changes yet though, knowing we are a bit thin in the front line tonight plus Boxall with only little practice. Cunningham really did not need that yellow card, either.

It's been all us. 78% possession

that stat was the last 5 minutes only - not the game in total so far.

I think we've looked better this game than the last two. We seem to be scaling our performances to the level of our opposition

Shit Harper actually sounds insightful. He is talking positively about the Phoenix like we are the team that is dominating.

Who kidnapped Harper and replaced him with someone that talks like they know something about football.

All in all a sound first half. Brockie is still poor and doesn't seem to link well with Stein. Cunningham needs to step up too

I actually thought Harper has been pretty fair to us this season.

Agreed. Quite happy with this against a title contender.

Has always been like that and has always been positive about the Nix. (except when we didn't deserve it)

Worst commentators in the league are the Perth bogans and Dewhurts/De Jong.

I think he is strategically talking up WSW by talking up the opposition.... WSW is being rather harmless tonight (by their usual standards) so Harper is making up an excuse by praising the opposition. Brisbane would have slaughtered WSW tonight.

Yep. Get it fixed now. Use the January window to cover the cracks. It's going to be that sort of season now.

Really gotta wonder why we played him- huge risk, and not unsurprising that it happened again. Has probably exacerbated the injury, meaning a longer time before coming back, and also a potential confidence knock meaning in future he will be overly cautious and concerned about it. Poor decision to let him play- both from medical staff and management.

Yep, fair play to Louis for trying to push through the pain but it's not fair on his long term prospects to keep playing him now.

We are playing well as a unit with great structure. However we are missing the creative magic from Ifill, Carlos. Its hard to see where we are going to get a goal. Plus losing Fenton cuts out any attack out wide.

In situations like this you really need your more senior guys like Brockie and Cunningham to step up and do something. Unfortunately Brockie is just missing in action AGAIN. He just cant stand there and wait for the million dollar ball so he can wack it in....he has to put him self about. Cunningham is just about as invisible.

The Hicks at attacking mid is not working.....good little player but not commanding enough in that position. Plus we are playing so narrow he is getting robbed of the ball in tight situations. Get Stein in there and get Kenny wider. We are still in this though you think that WSW have a goal coming soon...a point would be brilliant.

I do not think anybody (least of all Fenton) expected it would flare up tonight, otherwise he would not have charged in like a steam train on that last play. This injury probably changes the way they will look at it now - best to get it fixed now, since we've just learned it is a recurring thing.

All that matters is how long the recovery should take - is it weeks, months, etc.

Hope they dont muck around with him anymore and send him for the operation as soon as possibleWould then give him plenty of time to get his confidence back, rather than leave it to the off season.Going to be very interesting to see what they do in the transfer window. We need guys who can step up to the team and play now,not someone for the future.
