What do we think the score's going to look like? I say 4-2 Phoenix. Smeltzy with a brace, Weemac and Gui getting the other two

So the club are giving away 50 tickets to the game to those that get down to the stadium. Except all I've seen of it is a pidly post on their Facebook page which has got bugger all traction. Why on earth don't they put some marketing cash behind these things and actually get some eyeballs on their promotions.

From the Hyundai A-League site (match preview)...

Is Roy in disguise for tonight's game?:

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

With the season on the line, I'd take a 1-0 win over the risk of getting too fancy. Even a 93rd minute Glen Moss goal kick getting caught up in a Cook Strait Southerly...

...(I've never been to the Cake Tin, I presume the pitch runs north-south, like the old Athletic Park which I was familiar with).

How we lining up people with more IT skills than I?

I'm in favour of starting Smeltz with Watson in a 4-1-3-2

4-4-2 Moss Tratt - dura - rossi - Doyle Kosta - lia - arod - weemac Smeltz - roly Yep that's right roly up front. Looks like it'll be more of a 4-2-3-1

Nix line-up on the twitter feed just through is:  Smeltz & Bonevacia up front. McGlinchey, Rodriguez, lia, Barbarouses midfield and Doyle, Rossi, Durante, Tratt Defence with Moss.

Subs: Lowry, Finkler,Watson, Parkhouse, Italiano

Don't think that line-up has been tried before. Looks very interesting to me.

Northerly today though. I think the pitch is roughly north-south but to be honest it doesn't make a difference. The shape of the stadium structure means that whatever direction the wind is from it just sucks into the bowl and swirls crazily around the ground

Not much pace in that line up in midfield or attack apart from Kosta. I guess we'll be looking for more patient buildup play

If the crowds were bigger it could cause a Mexican wave type of swirl.

I have a feeling Roly will want to prove a point tonight.

The Mariners have come from a heatwave too. Conditions are all for us today. It's perfect ambush weather.

Would rather see Parkhouse out wide and McG playing in Lia's role.
