Aucklanders are too cool to chant, but give 'em time. Some dude was yelling at me "we should have our own team if we can get that crowd every time!"

According to yellow fever tweet there was no mics near the fans. So was some chanting but didn't sound like it.

Also between ticket fu#k up and security being d!cks, sounds like they need to sort some things out before another game next year.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

No. That was our 17th match.

Just took us up to 8th I believe from 17 points to 20. We were really really crap and unable to score at the start of the season. We've got a lot of ground to make up. A minimum of another 4-5 wins I believe were the calculations I saw somewhere...

Of course, round 17.  I took the screenshot just before the end of the game - interesting that the FFA webmaster had enough faith in us...... :)

Great result,

Good to get it over the reds as we will see a bit of them on the run home.

Oh and so much auckland hate I mean the population is far more spread out and harder to get to the stadium. Cant we just be happy there was 18k, .

Man. What a game. This tweet I did got a bit of a traction

Just to clarify my experience!

I bought tickets months ago for the Fever Zone.
After I bought my tickets, the fever zone was moved

I tried just going into the fever zone tonight anyway, way too many families giving me grief about standing up etc. So I moved and took my pals with me. We went behind the goal, I told a bunch of people I knew at the game to come join us. Maybe make a makeshift fever zone, since we couldn't get into the one we thought we had tickets for.

In the first half, this kind of happened. About thirty odd people joined us. We stood, we chanted, it was great. Then security came and told us to sit down and stop chanting. Boo! This is when I sent that tweet. How dare they! I told them that I was supposed to be in the Fever Zone, but the zone had been moved. So I was going to chant all I liked.

Luckily, the security never came back.

Though, I kind of wish they did. In the second half, a large contingent joined us on the east end of the stadium. They started a whole bunch of awful bloody chants, regulars including a non stop "fuck you Adelaide", "Adelaide are faggots", and to a young female photographer trying to take pictures of us - "tits outs for the boys". Ugh ugh ugh.

Quite frankly, this was embarrassing, and made active Phoenix supporters look like assholes on the whole. And for the first time ever, I wanted security to come and shut us up.

We weren't allowed in the Fever Zone, we tried to make the best of what we had. I so hope we can work out some way to properly nail the Fever Zone for future home/away games. So that this kind of thing doesn't happen again. What a bunch of dicks (the people who joined us, not the Fever Zone, wish I could have been there with y'all)

The fever zone moved because patrick et al had gotten tickets two bays over, so i went where the chanting was. I worried that might stuff things up and apparently it did.

You guys at the east end looked cool. We were trying to do call-response with you!

Can we all agree that Akld is a total disaster and it won't be repeated again?

Well.. two wins a and a draw and big crowds across the board. Can we all agree that auckland is a necessary evil and let's try do it as best we can rather than not at all...

This is what Welnix will look at, not the fever zone etc.

I don't know who you mean by all, but maybe you shouldn't speak for others. I for one certainly don't agree with you.

I remember the first time I was in the fever zone. As a visitor in Welly from Auckland. Sometime during the first season. It was so great, and it made me a lifelong fan. If there's anything these home/away trips should achieve it should be introducing new people to the experience of being an active Phoenix supporter. I really hope future home/away games allow for a large number of people to be part of the fever zone and to experience just how awesome being amongst it is. It's a hard thing to get right, sure, but it's worth talking about after these games.

I was sitting in the south stand, surrounded by quiet well behaved families, etc. then second half, for no reason a security guard (a young skinny white guy, who looked a bit like a girl) walked down the aisle to the bottom row, then would turn to the left for five seconds with a strange look on his face.. Then to the right, for five seconds... Looking down just a single row,  then walk back to the top.. Repeat x about 12 times over a 30 min period. It was truly bizarre.

Words can't do it justice which is why I got my friend to take a video... I'll post a link once he sends it to me.

Regarding the Auckland hate... I think it's fair enough that Wellington based fans hate on the owners for taking games away... But the somewhat personal anti auckland comments (and I'm talking about this forum in general not just this thread) or hating on fans from Auckland for not singing enough, etc is lame... Why hate on the people who actually turn up and watch? They are helping the club, even if they aren't in the fever zone and taking their shirts off, etc.

Although, I agree the people making the abusive Adelaide chants are losers, it's embarrassing.

Anyway, a win! Yes!

Back a t the hotel after the game for what will probably be my laxt home away trip. Tired of the expense the ticketing cock ups the being told to sit down, the fucwits who buy f3ver zone tickets then sit arms foldedwith faces like slapped arses. Tonight in terms of noise was a shambles desipte best efforts primarily due to season ticket holders being spread all over the joint.

Other than that good win. Great first hour. The through ball carlos played to kenny for him to score was glorious.

Krishna lucky to stay on the park with a two footed dive at galekovic. Car from convin ed he has anything to offer the nix.

To be fair that is probably the fault of ticket master, not the people who buy the tickets who probably have no idea.

I don't think it was two-footed. Possibly a bit lucky though. I was also amazed that Manny got away with a couple of the clear cut fouls, especially that one on Mabil fairly late on. Practically rugby tackled him to the ground right on the edge of the area.

What ?

I was at the game about 3 sections away from the yellow fever and the crowd was pretty loud, watched the 1st half when I got home and they really didn't mic the crowd well, because the Yellow Fever were going pretty much nonstop.. Of course Auckland isn't going to do a chant that says Wellington is Wonderful. But a lot were getting involved with the hand clappy Phoenix chant, they get the simple ones.
