So what have we learned over the last 10 years? That the match officials have been, are and always will be as bad as they were from day one in the A League and that their level or standard has not improved one iota.

Well there I was hoping this new referee would be the start of a higher standard of officiating in the A-League...

Yep - New DOGSO rules.  Unless it is for shirt pulling, the defender doesn't attempt to play the ball, or the tackle warrants a red on its own merit anywhere in the field, it's no longer a penalty and a red.

Biggest issue for me is that we're getting absolutely nothing from our full backs going forward. Ernie likes them to attack .

It is like Lia has never heard the phrase "just hold him up". Tries to win every ball, which is stupid when you have been booked.

There are 2 definite pieces that look out of place - Roly and Finkler. 

We are suffering from too much duplicity in that area. McGlinchey is dropping a little deeper and he is looking a lot better than last year. Need Roly to get up and down more and be more of a link especially you are going to play Finkler higher and Lia deeper.

Ref has made on mistake that I can think of on the dive, which is always hard to pick up.  I think he has been good.  Lino's have done him no favours.

A good sub right now would be Roly/Lia for A-Rod purely cause Lia is liable to be sent and Roly is doing very little. I would not mind Doyle for sharkhouse as well.
