Agree with whoever said that questions need to be asked of Ernie

Absolutley no chemistry or combination in midfield and one dimensional tactically

for several seasons

I did some stats end of last year.  With Burns he averaged 1.5ppg. Without its less than a point per game. It doesnt feel like we're going anywhere

2 shark seasons, one good one, and another shark season looking to be on the way. No change in tactics or formation for 3 full years.

Start looking for a new coach I'd say.

My point as well is that Burns in that season papered over some big cracks. He scored goals out of nowhere

True. Though we were good that season, we really did blow it in the end. Badly.

Just glad I'm going to a beer festival before next weeks game and should should be thoroughly  anesthetised before kick off!

I think the Ref has been fine, no issues with the pens and has given cards when deserved. The only mistake was Lia's yellow and he got nothing from the linesman.

The dive from Keogh and the card for Rossi? Hmmmm. His lino fudgeed him on the Rossi card and shoulda helped him on the Keogh dive

Still wanna defend that position?

The tackle on Moss was studs up, and a yellow. Still think overall, he's been fine.

you think that challenge on Moss was worthy of a yellow card?

I can see me doing one of my famous disappearing acts at half time if the match is anything like this shark!

I hope he gives it as it is... players need to step up.

Roly... start playing

Lia... control the game

Parkhouse... to the bench

Krishna... get a touch

Finkler... play the ball quicker and move.

Well that was faeces.

The tackle on Moss was studs up, but not "late" Moss beat him to the ball by a fraction.

He should have pulled out, but was committed.

" Lia control the game" That will never happen!

We were so incredibly uncreative. Barely anything happened for us. Saddening really.

Sydney next week... That's going to make for some tough viewing. Hopefully we at least finish our goalscoring drought.

Even I'm starting to have doubts about Ernie now for the first time ever. And I know it's an easy game when you are sitting on your arse on the couch but Krishna has bungled badly in both games. Success or failure in a season hinges on scoring from opportunities like the two he's had,

We've got a better squad than last year.

The good news is Ernie and the team know they've got stuff to fix.

No more kidding themselves.

Will keep my fingers crossed that Roly, McG and Finkler can work out how to combine and get Kosta and Krishna into the game more, and that Rufer (or A Rod) can displace Lia.

Ernie under pressure now because it's starting to look like his methods just aren't working. Stats  ow worse than Ricki

Rolly no show,Parkhouse out of his depth especially in defence,Finkler donkey pace but at least our corners are better,Lia well just Vinnie really! Mcglinchy pushed about to easily, Kosta lost interest after they scored,ah happy Monday everyone!!

What's worrying is that he continues to be a starter and nobody is really there that can replace him! I don't think A-Rod is the answer there either I'm sorry to say.

We seem to now have FAR too many players who drift in and out of games now - McGlinchey, Krishna, Kosta, Roly. Finkler at least seems well involved but has so far been pretty poor.

Defence looks under pressure, strike force looks jumbled, midfield looks absent - which is why the defence is pressured.

A midfield of Roly, Lia and WeeMac doesn't have enough tackles in it - or mobility, if Vinnies job is to shield the defence.

Krishna crossing balls into the box for Finkler and Kosta seems arse backwards - I though Roy was the finisher.

Ernie can't add to the squad, so he's going to have to make it work. Tonight, it didn't.

Because understanding you've got a major problem is the start of fixing it.  I think they've been believing their own BS.

shark displays like this is not helping our metrics.  Lucky if we get 6k to the game on Sunday.

If we continue to be the league whipping boys, we'll be lucky to even get the first 4 years of the licence, never mind the subsequent 6.

Did we spend ALL of our money on Kosta and Finkler?

Their is a glaring issue with the team at the moment; the midfield is just not functioning at all. Roly has been completely anonymous for 180 minutes as has Finkler. We can't afford to carry players like Roly, McGlinchey and Finkler in a match.

Looking forward Ernie needs to get the midfield balanced asap. Maybe Ridenton or Rodriguez comes in. Do Roly or Gui really have enough competition for their spots, dropping them for a game or two might get the best out of them.

Would like to see Doyle start next week over Parkhouse who doesn't look like an A-league fullback (defensively anyway). Also would like to see Watson come in as he looked bright tonight.

Really missing Riera right now.

The thing that bugs me is that we KNOW we have quality in the team cause we have seen it from them. Somehow when they get together as a collective, they look less the sum of a good team as they do as parts.

Unfortunately, and I really do not want to admit it, but thats coachinig.

We still can't score, same as last season, I'm worried. Kosta, Roly, Finkler, Krishna useless. Rossi looks like a good player. Zero points and zero goals, we suck!

And so he should be ,the Wellnix consortium have been more than patient with him and Morrison is no mug, he must be looking at his watch,Ernie has served up some lovely intricate football at times which was a  great relief after the Herbert hoof ball era but the stats don't lie  where's the mongrel ,the killer punch, its all so prosaic and ticky tacky to much fannying about outside the eighteen yard box.
I'm giving him five more games to turn this around starting on Sunday against a Sydney side that's playing some tidy football,if its still looking less than average after that  then the only way to save the season with 20 games to go  might be a change in management with him and Greenacre being given the classic vote of confidence from the board along with a couple of plane tickets!

Because the instant you admit that, then you know nothing is going to change for this season.
Do you think the Welnix are going to gas Ernie? They love him. At the very least, it wont be in season.

Thats why I don't really want to admit it and would like to think the players should be able to deliver more.
