If you're playing a passing game rather than a long-ball game, into-the-wind is generally preferable in my experience.
That's fine, but these guys will be firing. I don't know what the conditions look like on TV but it's a direct wind straight down the pitch. If we can contain them we might have a chance.

AJ13 seems to agree with my assumption and no-one's being all like "load of crap as usual" at him, which is the second time I've gotten that in two different threads. Dewhurst is not shutting up about how Adelaide are pushing us around in the midfield. This after only just scraping a draw our last home game with the Jest, the scum of the league. I am seeing nothing which makes me think that Merrick is anything special, that any anonymous coach (goddamn Miron Bleiberg) could be doing.
But yeah. Some posters I seem to really infuriate for expressing opinions not much different from other posters. I wonder why.
Happy with this at the moment, lots of shadow boxing and midfield scraps. No one really landing a shot, we had moments toward the end of the second half when we started to control possession I thought.

We look very flat...too many errors. Fenton's being pulled pretty high up, and then they're looking for those inside channel balls to Djte (sp). Krishna's doing great defensive work - I reckon dont switch sides. Keep him in front of fenton's side....Im picking a very different attitude from us in the second half......
Ben Williams is a terrible referee.
We can only speculate how he managed to get to be Asian ref of the year, but I can only think of one or two half decent performances of his.

The fact that I agree with the first comment, he has probably had the best game I can remember. Usually at half-time he has dished out 5/6 cards.The free kicks we have given away have been silly ones.

You ignoring our win last week in favour of bringing up the Newcastle draw points to you trying to distort the facts to support your opinion for whatever reason. Its pretty frustrating.

No I'm not. If you look over the match thread last week people were talking about how sharke we were, right up until Boxall and Burns pulled it out of the bag for us. But the point I'm making is that our home form is a real concern as we can't count on getting lucky away all the time. (Yes, I do think we were lucky to get all three points at AAMI, a draw would be fair.)

Painfully I have to agree. Had to laugh at Fenton who whined to Williams every single time he was so much as breathed on. He's well and truly fallen into step with the Nix complain-about-everything philosophy.
