nah man, the 2 weeks training in iso will stabilise the team and they will dominate the league leaders. 2-1 NIX!

Just like last year the coach's impending departure will destabilize the team. The boys will be sluggish after having done their stint of hotel quarantine and being away from family. A 3-0 loss for the Nix.

It didn't take long for the Pheonix to go into the lead with Jaushua Sotirio's powerful header evading Prendergast at the near post.

Wellington then went on to double their lead after some chaos and miscommunication in the box.

Phoenix's Matt Steinman had the final say after Reno Piscopo's corner saw Luke DeVere, David Ball, and Gary Hooper all get in on the action before Steinman guided the ball across the line to make it 2-0.

Wellington took the free-kick in a dangerous position and Piscopo's curved shot found DeVere who headed past Prendergast to make it 3-0.

All happened in first half, and had a penalty saved as well. 3-0 at HT. Promising.

WSW make it out like their first half team was weak and had loads of academy kids; Prendergast is new but set to be their starting Keeper as Suman & Janjetovic are hurt + Lopar isn't coming back for the restart, Russell was a starter when the season was suspended, Grozos is really highly rated & should get played more, Constable is the only real new name to me. So that is a good result for us.

We played CCM in a three 30 min half game earlier last Sunday but the result never leaked out.

I wonder how ready Davilla and Hooper are. 14 days in Q and only 14 days on the training pitch. Will they start or will Talay ease them back in over the next few games.

The latter I suspect.

"Thursday's match between Victory and United will have to be rearranged due to the quarantine period being in effect.

That will mean Friday's match between leaders Sydney FC and Wellington at Jubilee Stadium will be the first fixture played since the league's suspension in March due to the coronavirus pandemic."

You can't read too much into these friendlies, the main positive was seeing Fenton on the pitch against WSW.

I'd assume they will be on https://www.youtube.com/c/myfootball/videos again and as long as were you are (or VPN is) doesn't have coverage of it, you can watch online.

A few month back I thought the season was over but now we have the realistic chance to finish with best season ever.

I think the boys come back big time. They played outstanding before the break, squad is complete, some flew around the world. Team went into multiple quarantine. Team is ready to make all the effort worthwhile. Bring on Friday!

Think you'll see Sotirio and Piscopo start on the wing with Ball and Hooper up front, Davila will be central instead of Rufer.
