You just know the Sky Blues would be 3-1 up if it was them that had had our chances.

Why is there no VAR? Fox doesn't want to pay for the cameras or what?

Deflections

Premier League players will be allowed extra leeway when it comes to ricocheted handballs.

It is often impossible to avoid contact with the ball if it has deflected off the body of an opponent, team-mate, or even another part of the own player.

So a handball will not be awarded if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/nearby.

so does that apply for the A league as well?

Was this match originally a home game for us?  Can't help but think had this been played in Welli pre covid we would have won comfortably.

Agreed, but I would rather lose and have no VAR, I hate VAR

Someone was saying they were happy there would be no VAR. I almost commented just so I could disagree and go on record that important decisions always go against us as they have for years and years (until VAR made things more level).
Had we been 2-1 with 10 to go up we would have bagged 3 points tonight.

Still we had a great game tonight and proud of the boys. Davila had a shocker like he had in his first FFA cup game. Let's hope he gets the debut jitters out of the way now.

The missed pen I can stomach, that lino should never have put his flag up for offside.

We deserve an apology from the officials. They have gifted Sydney a comfortable win.

How many points have we lost to VAR this season? I'd guess at least double figures.

I head down to local parks and watch amateur football all weekend and I just cannot bear to watch A-League games. The refereeing is so fudgeing bad holy. What a crock of shark.
