I wish I'd picked up some second-hand Nix gear a year or two ago, when no one really wanted to know us. Prices have gone through the roof now on Ebay, TradeMe, etc.

It's like black gold!

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

I might make an offer then, thanks.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. We really enjoyed the game against WSW. However, the changes at the beer/wine catering at the kiosk closest to Aisle 22 were bizarre. One person serving and three on the tills, only one of which was employed as there was only one person at a time getting served and turning up at a till!. Weird and didn't work. Mini bottles of wine were replaced by plastic cups of wine. So effectively value halved (or more) and profits doubled (though a glass was 50 cents cheaper than a mini bottle this did not compensate much in value terms). My other half was desperately unimpressed to say the least. I spoke to the 'Management' staff who basically supervise the site from a licensing perspective. I assume they are Stadium Management staff who report to Shane. They seemed baffled by the 'new' arrangements too. At half time it looked like people had voted with their feet and boycotted the kiosk. A real turn off turning a reasonably good facility into an over-priced shambles. Sorry for the vent, but it is difficult enough at times getting people to games without adding disincentives.  If it ain't broke....

But Shane said he had listened to our complaints after the first game and was addressing them - How much longer his nose grows will be interesting to watch.

If you think Shane is personally charge of deciding exactly how the staff inside each catering outlet will be utitlised on each gameday, then you'd be wrong. He's the CEO, not the fudgeing catering outlet manager.

Hi Patrick. If you read the post again you will see that was never stated or implied.

Could someone give me a steer on how to provide constructive feedback to the catering outlet concerned?

I would suggest doing it via the Contact Us Form on the website, they will forward it on where it needs to go https://www.westpacstadium.co.nz/contact-us/

Given the nature of the job, it is probably a case of new people not having been shown an efficient way to run things tbh. They seem to run an a rotating cast of casuals.

Patrick, you know full well that the CEO of an organisation has the power to initiate changes and if the Caterers do not wish to comply, then their contract could be up for renewal.

You know he said changes would be made and complaints would be addressed. Opening a few extra kiosks does not fix all the problems people complained about.

Shane can certainly approach Spotless and tell them it is not good enough, sort it. One phone call, 3 minutes, problem solved.

Attacking someone's character like you did over something so petty says a lot more about you than it does about Shane.

Hi Typhoon, I was responsing to Lonegunman's reply to your post, and his post alone. I understand that you were not implying that Shane is a liar like he was.

I will say that the passion LG seemingly has for this can be best directed elsewhere.

So what is wrong with asking someone in a top position and definately influential to account for their action or lack of Patrick? he did say it and nothing other than opeening a few extra kiosks has happened. This is the man that can certainly get things done. How many times on this very site have you seen users wrongley blaming the Nix for things out of their control? The Westpac Trust have a lot to answer for and I am askingthe question. It's not personal, he's the CEO, the main man so to speak. Using their website enquiry forms are a waste of time, half the time you get an "error 404" message.
