Yes - U20's for Oz.

Doesn't feel like a real win; would've rather we went the full 90 so there were no excuses from Brisbane for getting beat.

Will take it, though. Was getting dangerous out there.

We played terrific in the first half, I thought; Krishna and Burns especially.

Such an important game yet this result feels flat. Mind you will it stand or is it going to be a case of same old aussies? Needs A !eague confirmation at the highest level.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

That pitch was a tsunami flood in the end, Rules are rules. So happy we are still on top.

FFA guy confirmed it on live TV. If there's any BS...bet anything if it was Melbourne the result would be straight up there by now...

Odd that the A-league competition regulations are so hard to find... but all the other FFA regulations I could find, clearly state that abandonment after 60 minutes means the result at the time stands. I don't see why the A-league would be any different.

Edit: just saw someone posted the rules above confirming.

Yes what's the angst? The official gave an interview and said the above.

The delay makes people suspicious, especially when the FFA are busy being tough with the Phoenix about their own slack negotiation with Sky.

Tinfoil hat time, I bet the FFA will decide that we made it rain, and then dock us the three points. Dirty bastards.

Yeow! another record broken! Don't let the weather conditions take away the result - well done lads

I feel some under arm bowling could come into play

We'd have won if it didn't rain anyway. They only got a sniff when our passing game was nullified by the surface water. We were the dominant team for most of the 72 minutes and we all know how we finish...they were spared by the rain if anything!

Fuck this stupid game

Did you see the Roar's coaches and staff cooking off at the refs after the game in the tunnel? lol. turn it up.

Some great humour has come from this at least; hope you guys got Mossy's interview with Nick Meredith - was classic.

Some of the Roar fans are going off on Twitter,  I could understand if they were the away team,  but its their ground

The thing that annoys me is that the way Brisbane fans are carrying on is like they were leading and were gonna win and they were playing better and that they were robbed. They should be happy because we could have pumped three more in the way we pick up towards the end and based on how poorly their defenders were playing. We still had to be up 2-1 at the 70th minute away from home, especially going a goal down first. Well deserved.

Or Kiwi League players getting suspended just before a test against Australia for example.

talked about Mossy's modeling career and prospects and then Mossy snuck in a couple of shots about Meredith not wearing any shoes.

Wrap: Brisbane Roar 1 Wellington Phoenix 2 Sunday, 22 March 2015 Dan Colasimone @DanColasimone

Queensland weather intervened to force the cancellation of Brisbane Roar’s clash with Wellington, which handed the Phoenix their first ever win at Suncorp Stadium.

When the match was abandoned in the 73rd minute due to heavy rain making the pitch unplayable, Wellington were deservedly leading 2-1 and that result stood under A-League regulations.

If we win the league it will always be because we got lucky and got given this game...

Never mind we were going to win 9/10 from that position.

Amazing weather they have there at times

"The rain caused Brisbane Roar's game against Wellington Phoenix to be called off 17 minutes before full time, with the match officials awarding a 2-1 win to the away team.

The home croud booed as the players were ordered off the Suncorp Stadium pitch, which had become dangerous due to huge puddles that made running and passing near impossible.

The half-marathon at the Brisbane Twilight Running Festival was also called off. During the same event in 2013, a man was killed by a falling tree branch when torrential rain and heavy winds struck.

Meanwhile, a sold-out croud was scheduled to arrive at Brisbane's outdoor music venue Riverstage from about 6pm on Sunday night to see UK singer Ed Sheeran.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Adam Blazak said Sunday's weather system was being caused by colder air from southern Australia meeting warm tropical air resting over the region.

"It's not a definite line of storms like what we saw yesterday. They're popping up here and there and we're sitting under and unstable air mass," he said.

"It's going to be patchy and some areas will get about 25 millimetres tonight. But I would expect isolated areas will get more than that."

Mr Blazak said the rain would likely persist through the evening and into Monday.

It comes after Brisbane was nailed with 52mm in 25 minutes on Saturday afternoon. The heavy rain caught two kayakers off guard, causing one to be fatally swept away from a drain near Eagle St."

I don't disagree with you and it makes a nice change to be having some luck for a change this season!  Many of the Roar fans on 442 are feeling overly hard done by though.

They are in no hurry to update the table on the A-league site are they?

It's OK guys, you can do it...

FeverBot might be poached by the A-League site if we're not careful.
