Playing well guys, well worth the one goal lead. The effort is there again this week the same as last week.

Did he do the 'baby-cradling' celebration like Romario, Bebeto, et al?

Anyway...our start's good, real good. And Perth have had one heck of a flight to get there...how's their puff?

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

Times like this I wish football matches were only 20 minutes long. Looking great so far.

Dominating the game really...another goal would be deserved after all this procession and field position

I see the Hurricanes played at the Cake Tin today - Is that the reason this game had to be out of Wellington?

Ridenton can definately pick out a long diagonal pass

Permalink Permalink

Fair play from Fink, he's been given basically free reign in the middle there.

Kosta really still looks like he's lacking in confidence - decision making not quite there

They've found a pretty obvious weakness in between our FB and CB's

Good contest so far.

Ridenton having an okay game given he's up against Castro.

Great half of football, We had the first 25-30 , they had the rest of the hafl.

We really dropped far too deep towards the end, there.

This is a really enjoyable game. Nice surface, fast attacking football from both teams, couple of cracking goals. If Perth score next I feel like we'll crumble but we are playing well enough to hope we can score next and go on to win.

Kosta must be the most overrated player I have seen this season.

And to all the people that have been bagging Parkhouse ---he has been pretty good.

Perth were pretty average that half and we are going to have to step it up if we are going to get the 3 points.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Yep. Parkhouse has been good. Can see that Perth have figured out that all they need to do is slot a ball in between FB and CB, though, and no one will track Keogh.

Kosta has been quite poor. Almost always makes the wrong decision. To be fair to him, his drive forward set up the first goal.

Good first half. Happy with the performance. Croud sounding good, looks to be a good croud, could be 8750 there! ?

Smeltz has been excellent up front. So good to see a Nix attacking player so difficult to knock off the ball. His ball protection and general mongrel-ness in the 50/50 challenges is something we have been sorely missing for many seasons now. Just a pity he doesn't have a yard more pace, the old warhorse.

Agree with both of the above. On paper fullbacks are our weakest area but the goal came right down the middle with Keogh just being better that Durante. Dura was not quite at the races there.

I like Kosta - but he's all flirt and no fudge. does all the build up well enough but just can't finish.

What a left foot curler by Kosta there. I should criticise him more.

Thought it was a foul in the lead up but i'll take it!

Still more goals in this one. Some really excellent finishing (from both sides)

Don't usually say this about the Nix but this performance has been very pleasing on the eye.

Good on Buckingham for sticking to his guns with the team selection too. The team and the players involved last week deserved another shot after a committed effort in Brisbane, and they're delivering again so far this week. Good stuff.

Can Smeltz teach Watson how to hold the ball up? Watto is 2x the size but Smeltz holds it up far better.
