Not a crucial game, just another day. As you were. Will the players still have the drive? Will Rudan's family be in attendance? Will the Yellowfever destroy themselves over a completely normal function that happens to every football club ever? Will journos start asking the real questions?

Or will we win and all be forgotten?

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

After this week even though I will go, it is tainted to me. I really like Rudan, I understand what and why but I don't like what has happened.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I'll be there but I'm not sure I'll be cheering Rudan off the pitch if we win. If we lose he can expect to receive a massive boooooo - the timing of this announcement has possibly fudgeed our chances of a home semi

I think if he had said in January he was going, we might have taken this better but with 4 games to go, 2 if which we have lost, the timing could not have been worse.

It's the first time we've made the playoffs in years and possibly the last home game of the season. Hopefully we can give the team the appreciation they deserve for a good season and encouragement to do well in the playoffs. Especially as I'm sure we all want many of them to re-sign with us. If people want to show displeasure towards Rudan, I guess that's their choice. Not sure it helps anything to do so. If people could at least try not to boo the whole team that would be good.

We need a statement from the team, not some half arsed attempt like the last two games.

Yep, league points are now awarded on the basis of whether people like the coach, rather than whether our team puts the ball in the net more often than the other team puts the ball in the net.

Will be there. My views of Rudan have been soured completely, however he is not the team. I'll cheer them on like I do every other game. They've had a hell of a season and I've witnessed some of the best goals over ever witnessed personally.

The team deserve our support. I'd like to say I hope there will be a big crowd, but it being Easter and the club being distracted, promo will be minimal so I doubt it.

Hope the team remember to turn up, unlike the last two games.

If you want a drink at a pub pre-game, you will have to buy a meal to eat with it because of the liquor licensing laws but at the game, its likely they will have the special license and be able to serve booze without the food requirement. So if you want to have a few drinks without having to buy food with it, you will probably have to head along to the stadium earlier

Thats not too bad, head to the RSA for a few beers with the Vets and Service people then head off to game. Just gotta be careful of those Navy people they'll make you blind drunk before lunch.

I quite like the idea of an early arvo game on ANZAC day.

Aussies tend to embrace sport on their Public Holidays.

ANZAC Day (AFL/NRL), Queens Birthday (AFL) and Boxing Day/Australia Day (cricket) have all traditionally been big sporting days.

Couple of big selection choices for Rudan this week, does he start Gulley or Elliot? Singh or Burgess? Maybe even Mandi or Burgess?

I'd take Elliot over Gulley tbh would be interesting to see how he performs and would like to see the Singh - Burgess combo with Burgess being deeper and maybe sherdiah over Williams as well

One could be sarcastic and say it depends on who Rudan wants to follow him to wherever next season

Mind you, that was a record of sorts. A Nix game where Sheriff scored more goals than Willo

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I think we need to stick with Gulley now personally. I think he struggled against Brisbane, but he'll be better now he's got a game under his belt.

Yeah, I thought his legs had gone by the 75th min.

Not surprising really, but let's face it. The result wasn't down to him, it was a team fudge up. Hopefully a home game is exactly what he needs, before getting a full pre-season under his belt.

Good luck with that given what day it is and given whats gone down in the last 2 weeks not sure that many will feel the "need" to turn up.Sadly

Too many  people on here won't turn up as they are not real supporters.

Think you may be under estimating the number of regulars on the forums who attend games regularly. Not sure what a "real supporter" is meant to be like if im honest.

Thank you RR. So you are suggesting the bars will be open at the game. But has that been confirmed?
