It's the novelty factor. Just like a Nix game at Eden Park, you can get a decent crowd at Sailor Field, Chicago, to watch "people from that hobbit country play football without body armour".

That is pretty massive though, to be fair. Almost as big as the squads being named for a comp that starts in four months time, at the start of the sports news the day before. Excited!!!

I thought this thread was about the last game... not cheap shot bleats about something completely beyond our control. Making

inaccurate, ill-informed, biased and fundamentally incorrect points about rugby makes you no better than the rugby heads that make inaccurate, ill-informed, biased and fundamentally incorrect points about football.

The reality is we live in New Zealand - if you want to live in a place where football gets an equal or larger share of the public and media attention you have to move.

Focus on the positives on our sport/team/product - taking pot shots at rugby makes you look childish and weak. Traits that aren't appreciated by your average Kiwi sports fan.

Is there much more to say about last Sunday's game? We got a great win, the team played like a team and showed some decent interplay especially from Burns and Weemac, also noted is the effort Gorrin does off the ball. He covers the midfield well putting the opposition players under pressure.

The result was just what we needed with the RMH venture underway. That might be one family that comes back to see some more....well I hope so. They had a great day during a difficult time and good on them. I guess it was one of those days where the planets almost lined up.

The ABs catching a plane isn't really news either, but that seems to lead the headlines :)

I think everyone was surprised that they all managed to make the flight this time

I used to work in a store called Soccer Scene/Rugby Scene on Carnaby St in London. Around the time of the 2003 Rugby World Cup I managed to convince about 20 people to purchase the latest All Blacks RWC Limited Edition shirt and the reason it was Limited Edition was that it was signed by the entire All Blacks squad... IN BLACK MARKER!

This gives you an idea of the caliber of people who support the All Blacks!

Can't be. Liquor sponsorship is illegal in New Zealand.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
