surely he's gone. Didn't Velaphi concede 5 yesterday, heavens. Who wants to have a bet who our starting keeper will be.

Sure, but he was hired late in the piece and would have relied on Rado who has A-League experience and the club in the signings.

Yeah but the guys he has brought in aren't pulling up trees either.  At the end of the day it's a coaching job as much as anything, you have to be able to work with the team you have in the A-League because of the salary cap

If the current coach is sacked, or quits, where does that leave us? And who would pick his replacement? The same management that is getting such a bollocking from fans on this site? It's a mess.

Sure we'll just get Des and Chris back.

Lets finally give Ramon a go - he has shown that he knows how to recruit and get the most out of a team.

I was willing to give the coach time as well, but nothing is changing, how long can we go goaless and keep the same strategy? Its not working, everyone can see it.

"Giving him a go" sounds like he was banging on the door to let him try.  Nothing further could be from the truth as far as I know.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

From what I heard from someone close to Ramon who works at ACFC, Ramon did apply for the Nix job, and only found out he didn't get the job when the Nix social media confirmed Darije and Rado. So Ramons probably not interested after that.

I saw Velaphi playing yesterday. The pen was his fault. A through ball, he was starting about run instead waiting another 1/2 second and then he had to foul the player. I hope this is match fitness, he was close getting the pen.

The other 4, oh well, the Wee Nix are almost as bad as the pro team.

At what point do people start to question the coach? This guy seems to have some kind of immortal immunity.

We have gotten worse over the season not better, so yeah aboslutely that point is right now

It is obvious that something is wrong with either or both this team and the club. Personally I want to get it fixed and I'm not certain what the issue actually is. If it is the team, then I want the coach and the club to do something about it and all indications are that they are saying they will fix it. To do that, they both need time and [while time is running out] that means let DK recruit his own people at the end of the year and he's got next season to show that he can do something with them. The wooden spoon next year means he's not up to the task and I have no problem with him getting the Spanish archer. Dome is also in the spotlight, if they can turn this ship around, pats on the back all round. If they can't then they both need to go and Welnix need to either take this seriously and get decent people in to run the show or stop squatting on the license and sell the dam club to someone that will.

I'm just looking for something (anything) to convince me that the people in charge can turn it around.  I am very skeptical regarding the "just needs more time" argument because surely evidence would suggest that time is going to bring other than more of the same.  It's now going on 6 seasons that we have been bottom half (with one outlier) - it is plain to see that the is not working in the long run.

In the short term Darije says that a lot of things need to change, and sure as hell they do, but why is he not able to change them now?

And why with more players that he signed, and more control over the team, are we playing worse?

The coach is shark. He is a dictatorial authoritarian. The coach should be first to go no one wants to play for him.

Therein lies a big problem; what are the options? get in another coach and then hope like hell they can turn it around? Because there is unlikely to be anything prior to hiring someone new that will convince us they are the man for the job. We are in a shark of a position whatever way you look at it.

pretty dire stuff. A bit harsh on Durante I think, who must have felt he was at the Alamo, but the other calls are fair.

One gets the feeling he is not well liked... no issue with this if we were winning, but poor results and morale won't change if people think he's an idiot.

I wonder if this is potentially playing a role in Krishna not resigning.

Perhaps but that's a feeling, not a fact. I've worked for plenty of people I don't particularly like but have had respect for.

Doesn't matter though? Ernie was a nice guy and he couldn't get the team to perform.

Also, I don't know if that's true. The players apparently backed Darije over Rado, and when they did win a game Dura gave Darije a big hug and there was very real emotion there.

Yes I noticed that - and there surely must have been a message there.

He would of hugged a tree stump if it was in front of him - one moment of warmth doesn't establish a relationship.

The problem is, I'd take Ernie over DK at the moment, based on what I am seeing.
