Definitely not tonight. Plan is to have a statement released by the collective tomorrow morning sometime, but that may be delayed if some serious shark goes down tonight that needs to be discussed.

Shiraz is not the usual Nix drink although if it was free  then I am sure NZ Dave would have to take one for the team.......or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5.

Actually think the meeting before with the owners is far more significant for us. Breakaway league was put on the table, so owners obviously flexing their muscle, and they all seem to be mostly pro the Nix. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for this one.

Tin foil hats actually amplify certain frequencies of brainwaves, thereby making it easier for the illuminati/reptilians to read your thoughts. The whole idea was spread by them to make their jobs easier. #wakeupsheeple

That article is bullshark because they used aluminium (or aluminum) foil instead of tin. Everyone knows that Tin is the only mind control reflective substance.

Its not tin foil hattery to ask about the nature of the association of an anonymous funder.

Also isn't the meeting because the fans aren't being treated like stakeholders and are just being spoken down to like they aren't even worthy of thought?

So isn't that what Brandon did by being condescending to someone asking a question the EXACT same thing?

I know some of us aren't quite as worthy as some of you for being members of the fever, but a little less condescension would be appreciated.

Rather than saying "Ohhh my sides! THAT is post of the year, right there! Close the competition RIGHT NOW!" he could have said something like, "its someone who has worked with supporter groups in the past.  while we would like to be transparent we have to respect the persons right to be anonymous.  We did have discussions around it and decided it was better to be there than not be and we will be careful to ensure that our judgement wont be affected by it" Or something like that.

I'm very rarely on NP's side but if you are going to do the thing that we are pissed off the FFA are doing in ignoring key stakeholders then thats a bit shark.

I agree 100%

The bit that got my attention most, was this one:

"The biggest development was the FFA ratifying a new committee giving clubs more ownership of TV rights negotiations and future marketing strategies, including the recruitment of marquee players."

Our TV deal with SKY (negotiated by FFA) was the key factor in the heat we got from Gallop and Papa Lowy, so hopefully there might be a saner approach in future. Sydney FC will be on the committee and I reckon would not agree to dumping us in favour of Cronulla Riots just to get a better TV deal, as it would cut their own income through lower membership base, gate takings etc.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

There we go, all confirmed no more boycotts unless the FFA doesn't come through with their promises. Same statement made from each group.

Yellow Fever confirms that the proposed meeting between the FFA and representatives from each active supporter group took place last night.

The purpose of this meeting was to negotiate the implementation of a fair and equitable system which provides fans with;

a) Access to all evidence on which the FFA intends to rely on in any ban process; and
b) Access to an appeals process independent of the FFA

The Fever can confirm that as a result of that meeting, the FFA has agreed to implement satisfactory systems by no later than 19th February 2016, to coincide with the announcement of the Whole of Football Plan.

The minimum requirements of those systems have been agreed to, with the finer details to be finalised shortly. There has also been an unequivocal commitment by the FFA to defend football and it's fans.

The FFA have also committed to providing active supporter groups with details of arrangements it has with third party security service providers.

It is on this basis, and provided of course, that the FFA formally implements these systems, that the supporters have agreed to temporarily suspend fan boycotts.

Make no mistake, in the event that the FFA fails in meeting these commitments by the 19th February 2016, supporters will take all necessary steps to hold them accountable.

For now, fans will return to the terraces this weekend and do what they do best. Supporting teams unconditionally.

Yeah 10 more years is what I'm more worried about than all this banned fans. But think what happen was very important too as it shows the FFA and everyone that we are united for the betterment of football

Hmmm... Yes, the fans are united on the issue of banned fans. Don't think we should be too naive to think that they'd all unite behind us in the same way about our license though. Good will, yes (from most). Same level of united protest, no.

Well, you've gotta back yourself.  Most of banned fans were from a handful of clubs, but we all supported them. It has to go the other way when time comes to support Phoenix' licence extension. The new TV deal negotiation process will be the time and place to do that.

Sure we won't have everyone on that side of the ditch, but we have created goodwill and we already had a lot of support from other groups for us to stay in the league.

Now that this is over, we need to start pushing for #SaveTheNix again and keeping that fire burning.

I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that now that all of the active fan groups have come together for a common cause [and it appears have been successful in gaining what they want] that it would be great if they all banded together again to save the Phoenix. Is that pie in the sky thinking? is there that much support for us? is the issue important enough for others to actively support us?

I think its a bit hopeful.  How the league survives is up to management, team management etc.  Teams come and go in sports leagues all of the time.

But how the regulating body treats fans is something that we have control over etc.  i.e. treat us like shark, we go.

If that makes sense.

I was at the start, dubious that he was wearing Red and Black and would therefore experience no trouble, but as the clip ran on, it became quite obvious that this guy loves his footie, experienced a fantastic atmosphere from both clubs fans and had a good time except at the end when "officials" got a little upset. I take this guy at his word, he appears quite genuine and I hope one day, he will show up in the Zone. Thanks for posting this Midfielder, it is a great clip and has certainly enlightened me into some of the things going on. Not believing the media  sensationalism is a standard thing, but this clip dispelled beyond any doubt that the 99.99% of football fans from the various clubs are just there to have a good time and enjoy a good game.

Andy - Have you seen Hektik Hektor's video that lead to the FFA issuing a press release denouncing death threats against Rebecca Wilson?

P.S. Don't do what the FFA and the media did and stop watching before the half way point. Watch the whole video.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

He seems a weird kinda guy but a very clever one…

Whats caught FFA and many in the media by surprise is how mainstream Football has become and its no longer Simon Hill, Bozza & Fozzie fighting the good fight today every media organisation especially print ones have a number of Football journalist add a massive web / net presence with sites like 442, The Roar, The World Game, Goal, Back of the Nnet, to name a few + social media like the club fans forums and facebooks..

The fight back has been massive and Hector’s vid, is part of social media storm over here. It is IMO well-made and direct to the issues raised by Bourbon Beggs and the Public Toilet Boy.

Just maybe the vid below where Hector does his itchy neck thing is why he was kicked out of our stadium.

I was wrong all the time. The RBB are all Reincarnations of the Dalai Lama.  The flares are all planted by Hamatoto, the running street battles with the Yards were just CGI THE smashed seats at SFS were done by some random blow in. Give me a break.

Not every football fan is a deliquent and it might not be as bad as we think. The media are certainly painting a darker picture than it needs be. That is what this video is pointing out. Sure there are some dickheads out there, but a small minority thank God.

also reality is very far from "families are too scared to bring their kids because the crowd is full of terrorist grubs" that some sections of the Australian media like to portray.

Interesting video but give us a break that painted them like angels.Where were all the flares dont think there was one there with their face covered up.Yep the media has gone way over the top but lets not kid ourselves some of things they have got away with is bloody ridiculous.FFA is to blame in that they never bothered to get on top of it before . Just dont get why if your attending a football game you have to cover your face.Still dont get why if some of these active fans are so worried about whats been going on they still make no attempt to stamp out flares. Realise some on here dont have a problem with them but they are not allowed and i just dont get it. You want to change peoples perception of your behavior then a good place to start would be to stop ripping flares and uncover your bloody faces.

Your last sentence is correct and adds a nice balance to things. Sadly, we have all seen the flares and which two clubs always seem responsible for the. It would be nice if the FFA had of dealt with those issues in a transparent way. It seems like they go unpunished. But again, how many idiots are involved?

Since that whole leak incident and accusations has there been another flare ripped?  I genuinely don't know as I haven't heard of any but based on your comment I assume you have?

Also wasn't the video in direct response to accusations by the media?  Like how how you cant take your kids because its dangerous, how they are like the terrorists, how rival fans need to be kept in cages etc.

Do you disagree with that?  Do you feel you would need to be in a cage? Do you feel that you could never take your kids to an A League game? etc.

That's what I saw when I watched the video anyway.  I don't think anybody thinks every fan is completely innocent but the accusations crossed the line so far and that is a bit of video evidence about those lies.

A further bit of balance needs to be recognised too [and this is not in direct reference tot he video] but different people have different perceptions of what is safe or appropriate for their children. I'm no wowzer but I wouldn't consider taking my son into YF for example simply based on my observations of some of the drunken behaviour and swearing I have witnessed. I base that view on what I want my son to be exposed to, whereas I have no problem being in the zone or having the zone in its current form. Other people might not have any actual experience of active crowds and it scares them, especially if they are basing part of their fear on media reports from overseas of crowd behaviour, riots, and the like. Perception is not always reality but the guardians of the game need to take steps to change those perceptions and while the FFA haven't managed to do that in a successful manner, they do need to do something.
