Season Tickets - Clusterf**k Edition 2013/14

The scarves have cost around $30 in previous seasons, and a ticket is around $25, so those two perks alone are together worth more than the $50 it costs you to get the membership.

But normal season ticket holders get a scarf and a free ticket too (although it must be used during the first 3 home games).

So not much extra benefit there.

As far as I can tell this is what club membership gets you over and above having a season ticket:

• Membership of the Club
•  
• Members pack:
  • Adult: card,  members cap, members pin, ticket voucher
  • Child: card, kids cap, wristband, ticket voucher
•  
• One ticket to any Wellington Phoenix home game, or any designated Wellington Phoenix A-League away game (these games to be confirmed at a later date) including an invitation to a members function where you can meet players and management

• Members only access to club members website - interviews with players and management, video and analysis
•  
• Attendance at club AGM

• 10% off corporate hospitality booked through the club, including children's birthday parties
•  
• 10% off on the online merchandise store
•  

The discount is confusing though because it says season ticket holders get "20% off at Ryos", so is the club members discount another 10% on top of that or just a lesser discount?

I think I said in another post somewhere that the 20% off discount is not finalised yet.

So pretty much its 50 bux for a cap, a pin, game ticket & website access + discounts in other areas. 

Will the website be worth 50bux? I don't wear caps, so for me the pin and the website are the only real value - plus a game ticket i would give to someone else as wont be attending an away game...

I've got the three seasons that they decided to make cards, and a fair few of them signed.

And yes I realise this makes me a sad, sad little man - but at least the games room looks good!

Uh huh.

However, it clearly states on the season tickets website that season ticket holders get "20% off Wellington Phoenix merchandise at Ryos". People are currently renewing their tickets on that basis so the club is basically obliged to deliver that benefit to them.

OK, I'm confused. Can only season ticket renewals be done at the moment? What about someone wanting to buy their first season ticket? Do the early bird rates apply to those people? The ticketek website is hopeless and the Phoenix hotline is only open untl 5pm so I'll have to try and phone them from work.

Well, that could make things interesting down the line.

Managed to renew over the phone for me a 9 others (in the zone of course), including 3 new members. Looking to another great season! See you guys soon

Up until August 12, it is only renewals. New members can purchase at Early Bird rates from 13 August until the end of the month, and from 1 September onwards normal rates will apply. Hope this helps.

Just renewed mine. Huge ups to Brenda from Ticketek who got in contact with me after I voiced my frustrations on here, managed to sort everything out quickly.

Going to get ours next week (after pay day).  Jnr Jnr wants to move closer to the FZ, while Jnrtte doesn't want it to be too noisy (i.e. on top of what we/I make).  A slight dilemma, but we may be able to sneak over half an aisle.

If we stay where we are it's OK too - hopefully the gap last season will be filled with lots of new punters given these chups as cheap prices.

Surely a season ticket holder should have more right to attend the AGM than a club member paying $50 and going to one game a season? That bit doesn't make sense to me I'm afraid.

Um no.  Who says the club member is only going to one game?

Season ticket holder is paying for a ticket.  Club membership is paying to be part of the club.  Pretty simple.

Ok so they may go to more than one game but are season ticket holders not part of the club? Using your argument you could just say a club member is paying for 1 ticket and a members pack.

Just think a season ticket holder should be at the top of the 'food chain' of fans, call me old fashioned.

I am trying to renew but there's no drop-down menu and it says 'this subscription cannot be renewed'? Any ideas?? I went on before and saw the drop down menu but didn't buy at that time (a couple of weeks ago) but now that I do want to, it seems I can't...

Just noticed others did have this problem. How was it solved in the end? I guess the phones are closed now and I cannot call between 9-5 any day this week due to no phone access for this particular week at work...

Can you email them (Phoenix or ticketek)?  Would imagine if you are able to quote your membership number and last season's seat number that could probably help you get them held for the following week when you can call them.

Yep. Phonecall during lunch break.. took 1 minute to solve. Delight was unbounded. Perhaps a good mate could call on your behalf to get them to correct your issue. It was like they just needed to select something in my account to make the new season membership appear on my page.

Woo-hoo, renewed my membership, this year including free ticket. If only it included $50 of free cider for before the Eden Park match.

11 members on facebook page but got a friend moving over here soon so hoping to get him in. and got a aussie who i support gamba osaka with who watched some games last year. we got a pub aswell with a scarf on the walll. looking ot get some more stuff, might put my ht and pin there. haha
