Well they managed to show last weeks Football League Show instead of this weeks highlights tonight. Good work.

The aleague highlights were on @ 8pm

I'm talking about the Football League Show, which is for Championship, League 1 and League 2.

Toyota Cup could be the Warriors game. Although I still think a Toyota Cup game would rate better for Sky than an A-League game.

The Sydney Gold Coast game that is on at 3pm in Sydney is being shown here "LIVE" at 9pm!

That is Sky's idea of sorting it out.

I saw the last bit of the game and it definately wasn't HD. Same with the Jets-Victory game.

Indeed, just checked. Definitely not HD quality on MySky (although took up an HD amount of space on drive - suggests that they broadcast in HD, but the feed they received was not).

They really are useless Fokkers when it comes to football coverage. While I can understand the A-League position in the pecking order (although the recent survey revealed that it is such a distant 'minority'), they just don't seem to care (or give rats fangers). Egs:
- not noticing until about 2 hours before kick-off that it was not live, and then that was after it was pointed out by one of us!
- Broadcasting non-HD quality A-League as HD.

And using the HD thing as an excuse not to play it live,then not having it played in HD. Hmmm....bullsh*t anybody?

The non-HD footage being labelled as HD seems to be an issue wrt to fox sports coverage being sent here. Numerous NRL games and A-League games get advertised as HD and then never get delivered as such and thay are always from fox sports. What was more annoying on the weekend was the Warriors U20s getting HD priority over the nix on Friday, simply because SS2 is the league channel.

and what happened to the A-league highlights show.  wasn't at usual time last night at 8pm?  Not loving Sky at the moment.

Not too bad.
3 out of 4 games live (remember Melbourne Derby is now on the 8th).

1-Oct     GCU v Wgtn - SS1, Live, 11pm
2-Oct     CCM v Fury - SS3, Delayed 2:15 hrs (because of ITM cup; NRL replays; last minutes of AFL (so could have started less than 1 hour late, no probs, if I was picky))
3-Oct     Perth v Roar - SS1, Live, 9pm     
4-Oct     Sydney v Adelaide - SS1     Live, 7pm

Nrl replays...?

anyone seen the new sky ad featuring their "ultimate selection" for October, November and December.  Not one mention of the All Whites home series.  Getting sick of their bollocks. I feel a letter coming on.

and the Dubai 7s was the only highlight for December? wtf?

Maybe we could start up a seven a side team made up of the best players who can't make professional football and send them to Dubai to play similar seven a side teams, maybe even play a game against the host nation which all used to play second division club rugby in Ponsonby. That's how we get on TV!

The coverage could be worse. It could be the first half of last years season quality.

after a quick squiz at the new skywatch magazine. it appears that there is one or in some cases two games on delayed coverage each week.   Poor.

I think the point has been raised before, how many people would even watch every single A-League match live? Half of the games live, and showing the Phoenix live with delayed coverage for other matches is probably fair, if another live event is on. Can't justify showing a replay over a live event.

If another live sport is causing an A league game to be delayed then you can't really complain,the A league isn't really highly rated.

But that doesn't seem to be what's happening...

They've still sent me an email reminder today  telling me there is live a-league on at 9pm tonight.
