Should have been allowed. The player was clearly not interfering.

I don't accept mediocrity. If other teams have a better squad than us, they will probably beat us. If the owners want us to do well, then they should fork out for a good attacking midfield in January. Getting rid of the coach is not the option.

The thing is the team played well. Admittedly, Melbourne were robbed a goal but we still created more than they did. If that game went differently we could of won. as far as our lead up work went I thought we deserved a point, Melbourne, as always, just looked more clinical. We could have put out the same performance and won 3-2. Then people would be praising the coach and the team. Sure we lost but it's nothing to slit our wrists about as long as we win next week.William2011-10-30 18:33:14

Piss.

I was happy with a lot of our play but we are definitely lacking a striker to finish things off. The downside is that we should have put the game beyond them in the 1st half.

Sanchez is shaping up very nicely though and Danial is looking a lot sharper, discipline is our biggest problem at the moment.

At least the one comfort is that from what I have seen Melbourne wont win the league.

I do agree that the team played well,  as they did against the Gold Coast, Perth.  So plus todays game we have a grand total of 1 point from 9 and only 1 goal scored  in games we "played well",  Winning football games is about scoring more goals than our opponents but we arent doing it which I find unacceptable.  Our discipline is terrible also which is not helping.  Relate it to work,  they are not doing the job they are paid to do,  which is not acceptable,  I dont believe that we can win every game,  but to totally dominate like today for the first 35 odd minutes to throw it away after that is poor.

New striker please. The hardest thing to take was that we didn't have anyone on the bench who was going to come in and change the game or offer something different.

Sad result, poor discipline partially resulted in a red card, Bertos back to his form of last year [woeful], missed goal opportunities, apart from all that I like how we look. I'd even go as far as to say that this is the best we've looked at this stage of the season since we began. It won't take much to get us up to scratch - we're just missing a target man and need to bench Bertos.

I say target man because we put a lot of balls into the box but don't really have someone who can compete for them.

At first I was disppointed to hear that the crowd was only 9000, then I was oddly chuffed that thousands of Wellingtonians couldn't give a rats arse about the A League's Greatest Ever Import and His Gorgeous Passes.

Look at it this way, the crowd numbers are on the way upwards.
