The facts remain. We lost by one goal. That one goal to go ahead was a penalty. That penalty was conceeded by SigmUnd. All the shoulda/coulda/woulda does not change that fact regardless how you want to argue it.
That was a result of Brown and Smith f**king up.

You could also blame individual players for not slotting chances. Brown again, greenie.

Agreed. Although we eventually lost by that penalty conceded by Siggy, we should have had the game secured by halftime, with good chances missed by Sanchez (2), Brown (2) Bertos (2) Greenie (1) that I can specifially remember.

In addition to that the penalty came as a result of Brown giving away possession meekly in midfield at a time that Dura was pushing forward. This left us very exposed and in the end a penalty was almost inevitable with Siggy being left to try and cover two players on the edge of the box. Was it clumsy?..yes it was -----did it cost ust the game?.... it contributed to it.... But is was a long way from being the reason why we lost the game.

Yeah by that stage in the game we were a goal down and desperately trying to get ourselves back into the contest. The pressure was applied to ourselves, by ourselves, by missing chances.

Still, sack Siggy.

Fuck this stupid game

Prior to getting sent Siggy was having a fantastic game.  Anyone who thinks he is slow should watch a bit more closely when he's tracking a runner.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

You are incorrect.

A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball:
while the ball is between his hands or between his hand and any surface
(e.g. ground, own body)http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/generic/81/42/36/lawsofthegame_2010_11_e.pdf

I wish it was a goal too but I can't argue with the laws of the game.

Hey, stop quoting from the rules of the game.
It's..it's inconvenient.

After watching a replay of this I get the feeling that Daniels reaction destracted Jared Gillett enough to do us out of a penalty for the bobsled on Greenacre.

I thought the ref was supposed to be Peter Green?
Someone said it was another Gillett, but the a-league website said otherwise.
Also why weren't the YF allowed to yellow backing to the Judas banner?

That was me saying he was a Gillett. It was supposed to be Peter Green, but I'm guessing it was the QANTAS grounding that meant we got Gillett instead. The stadium announcer even said that the referee was Peter Greene, but he looked nothing like Peter Green so I texted my brother watching the game at home, and he said it was Gillett.

On the banner situation - from what I heard, the JUDAS banner was completely seperate to the yellow backed one. There was supposed to be two banners, but secuirty didn't let the yellow one in. Not sure if this is true though.

Greenacre was definitely axed in front of goal, maybe if we had received that penalty then all the anti-siggie whiners could give it a rest.

Then again, the offside call against Archie was a shocker as well. Kind of cancels each other out.
