Perhaps not my favourite but one of my vividest memories from the Zone is the Brownlie shot in Game 1 against the Victory. We'd got it back to 2 - 2 and it genuinely felt like we were sucking the ball into the net. Brownlie has a shot, and from the angle of the zone it was going in and we were going to nick it. Then it takes a bobble and goes just wide. Remember it so clearly.

didn't it hit the post? Remember it being heartbreaking

Edit - another memory from the very early days was one of the opposition players getting sent off in front of the benches. A "who are ya" chant started up as he slowly trudged off, and reached a crescendo as he made it to the tunnel.  It really felt like we had something special, where a chant could start and have 3 or 4 thousand people be part of it really quickly.

Thinking back, it might have been the game where plodder (maybe) fudgeed up in the last minute and we still lost. Think it was also the bottle throwing game mentioned earlier as well. So much fun for one afternoon.

First game ever (pre-season) against Sydney when there were 3k there and it felt absolutely crazy, and we won 3-0

(this is probably boring), but the pre-season game against Sydney was my first introduction to active support. I’m not even sure I knew it was a thing. I never really watched football on TV, except for when the FA Cup would be on TV, and I was never really a thing in the national league (or at least the games I went to).

I was sitting down the front of Aisle 24 or 25 with some mates for that game and looked up at this bunch of people standing up and chanting. And I remember thinking how different and cool it was, and how I wanted to be part of it. So me and my mates went there for the Victory game and I’ve never left. And you guys have had to put up with me every since. Guess we are all the worse because of it.

I forget the game, but when living I was living in South Africa in 09, I borrowed a bike late one night and with two laptops (they were old and only lasted 45mins of video each). I rode for an hour along a dark highway just to stream the game at a Shebeen (illegal bar). We won, I got a skin full, then rode home shirtless. Still to this day, I'm surprised I made it home safely.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

This was one of the greatest moments, very intense last minutes and then Cunningham scored and we all exploded in pure joy.

One of my favourite memories was the production of the first Retro Ricki T-Shirt.  People (including me) were actually shocked by how cool it was, gave the Fever a lot of cred!  A greenie special

I had a similar experience, but from across the other side of the pitch where I was a ball-boy. Distinctly remember the 4-1 against Perth as the first game where I stood in the zone for 90 minutes.

Some of my favourite Fever memories are when we were on that massive home undefeated streak and would regularly have massive post-game chanting sessions on the concourse as we left Aisles 21/22.

Also the 1-1 draw away in Melbourne where we had a great travelling contingent, Marco made his debut, Coops debuted "Rojas in the Middle of Our Street" and Home and Away became a Fever anthem <3

You know we belong together...

I was filming that night, but here's the raw footage I got from those delirious scenes. The speed at which some of the shirts came off was super impressive.

Here it is with Piney and Chotey's commentary over the top which makes it even better imo https://youtu.be/O-z51KpIMsQ?t=103

Fudge me the Fever Zone went bonkers that night

That finals trip to Sydney has to be my #1. The lunacy of it. That filthy hand ball from Payne.

Meeting the mother of my child in the Manakau Pub over shots of something should also probably make my top 5.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

From the forums - some of the things that became running jokes:

Frankie Mac's "crerbral" humour

Wooohooo's big prizes.

The Pax threads (already mentioned above)

#FeverElite/#FeverSpendUp

Fridge magnets

That guy's article about membership cards

Ticketek (the constant checking to see who's received a season ticket yet)

Jesus wept. Mods, take control, etc.

Does that song we recorded in Season 1 still exist somewhere? A few of us went to the ZB/Classic Hits studio one Sunday afternoon I think and recorded it. Can't remember what it was called now.

Phoenix Fever Anthem by YellowFeverBoys

Unreal. I specifically remember Carl getting pissed off that none of us could hold pyre, and the challenge that we had trying to fit extra syllables in 'one club of NZ' and 'black and yellow fever in our blood'.

I believe we also did eleven - and that actually made sense with the rhythm. Ah good times. Back in the days where all of us apart from you had our hair.

The epic transfer thread, with the one armed QPR player amongst others, that went completely off the rails.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Some good ones as a traveling fan- flew down for a couple of session of test cricket at the Basin, (had a big breakfast of french toast a cofee and some Panhead to kick things off after arriving in the city ) and a Phoenix game. It was Brockie's last. Met Brockie's dad and shared an Uber with him and Brandon, and thought the zone was great that day! Brocks scored two and then met Jeetan Patel at Bethel Woods and everyone was chanting to the players as they came in. Roly was so happy then. Paul Ifill was there too and I got to shake his hand and thank him for all the great memories. Chants for Manny and Dura were epic too...

Then got a taxi to the airport and flew back home to Aucks!

Games at Hams and QBE were fairly good this year...I was a terrible write off on the Auckland 12 pubs though. Just a little too drunk by the time the game rolled around..!

Oh and Horus.

Miss Piney's quizzes...they were kind of fun...bring back trivia.

Actually just miss Piney and a few others full stop. A bit more footy knowledge and some really good perspectives missing. Learned a lot.

What about in the first years when the Fever put on our own player of the year etc awards? 2nd floor of the Four Kings. I remember Bevan Spilling his full beer all over Robb Watson.

The Fever Tua to Napier was the epitome of the YF experience for me. Vast quantites of alcohol, excellent banter, 50 kazoos, Brockie on the dancefloor at the Skanky Whale, Barbara the bus driver, TaraDale, Strange Dutch lady in my bath! Good times.

As previously mentioned, the Conga was fantastic.
