I spoke too soon yesterday.

Here's a word of warning to anyone who has asked to change seats from last year. Make sure you check what you get. I got my order confirmation email come through and it clearly stated "Renew Same Seats".

I rang back the membership hotline this morning and the woman told me that "someone" is pushing these through as renewals even though they have requests for change on them. She said she had seen a few of them. She was very helpful and will back out the renewal and give me what I asked for but I suggest if you have asked for a change that you check it carefully.

Just bought four season tickets(first time) in Fever Zone. Nothing yet to confirm the seats we requested- is this normal? Oh.......what about them All Whites then?

Nostalgia isnt what it used to be...........

Passes sorted with online x 2 and a follow up for third pass, no trouble getting the third seat next to the existing seats. Ticketek seem on the "BALL" this year

It would appear to be.

Are they on sale to the general public yet or just members still? Will be interesting to see how that goes, with all the world cup hype at the moment!

Wasn't last season's membership around 3k?

If it was I'm a bit disappointed that renewing memberships are around 1.7k - that's a lot of non-renewals even if there is a certain proportion that will be due to attrition.

Anyone got any firm stats about typical renewal rates?

Still a long way to go until the season mind you. May see an upsurge once the world cup is finished and attention turns again to the A league.

Yes, hopefully LOTS more new members.  Was just surprised that the existing members haven't renewed to a level similar to last season. Maybe the discount isn't a huge incentive or the increased prices are putting people off?

Mr S said on Saturday 13/06 twice as many memberships had been sold to date compared with same period the previous year.

I suspect a fair number of renewing members have possibly spent a good portion of their income making their way to the southern end of Africa.

So after the All Whites win the World Cup, I suspect numbers will climb to 5000

i have no idea where to start going about getting season passes. am guessing with seating is the thing that gets most people?

Downloaded the pdf forms.. Bahhh, just want to get it over with. Can we just go into the phoenix store and get bulk of it done there?

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

With credit card in hand call the dedicated Wellington Phoenix hotline on 04 384 2457 and a very helpful lady will talk you through the quick and painless process of purchasing a season pass.

80% of people who were members last year that I know haven't renewed but are still going to eventually. Also seen a few people keen on first time season passes. Still plenty of time.

They do realise that not renewing during the membership renewal period, means they pay the full new member fee right?

And that their seats aren't reserved since they didn't renew them?

I got hit by a car last month and have been in hospital so was only able to renew yesterday, which I did. I got an email today saying that they noticed that I didn't renew my membership while the renewal period (cheaper) was going and asked whether I was interested in renewing, and if I was, I could still get the cheaper rate.

1) I had renewed not 24 hours earlier
2) I paid full price
3) Thanks for making me feel special with your personalised email though
4) Was it just pure coincidence that I decided that I had to renew yesterday and then today I get offered the same product at a cheaper rate?
5) as long as I get my tickets on time this season, I am happy.

Springing up $500 for a couple of tickets isn't that easy for some people. For us, it was a combination of me getting injured, and trying to feed my family on 80% of my usual wage (thanks acc) and having to find money to fix our dodgy car. The Nix are awesome and I would imagine that many will renew, but priorities are priorities.

Wasn't a comment at anyone specific, just a note that people shouldn't rely on their seats being held forever.

I had to make part payments on my subs last year, when I had similar issues with $1000 car repairs.
This time I was lucky enough to have saved some money for memberships in advance :)

The club has finally contacted me about renewing my season ticket, albeit after the deadline for renewal at the cheaper rate. I didn't renew as a protest against the on-going poor communication, but at least the email offers the lower rate so that's a start.

I note the claim about special offers and prize draws, well that would be a first as in three seasons I have been a season ticket holder.

Perhaps 80% of people didn't know until today the offer was on.

(yes, things are fine, just a busted shoulder and right arm which will be out of action for a while - not much fun when you have a little one to look after, my poor poor fiancee! but out of hospital yay. thanks for concern )

Communication and the Nix ticketing? This is season 4 now right? - I expect the same as every other season - little to none. I don't really mind, I check this site often enough for updates so as long as we get our tickets before the opening game this season we will be a happy family.mikecj2010-06-19 14:22:50

When do season tix have to be bought by?

Sorry to hear about the car accident, MikeCJ get well soon mate.

The special offer for members has been extended to Sunday according to the email received during the week.Great!

Went to renew online this morning, logged on and found (bizarrely) my wifes details and account in what should be MY main Wellington Phoenix acct! Data entry mistake from last season by the Ticketek team last season, I expect.
As Mrs Redged is a secondary acct holder I cannot action any changes or renewals, that can only be done on the main account which has effectively been rendered inaccessible.Only thing to do get on the Phoenix helpline to sort it....'course, that only runs Mon to Friday business hours with no allowance for a special offer finishing on Sunday.

Roll on Monday.

PS  Have just given myself a swift uppercut. and admit publicly" MY BAD!"

Having just re-read the email sent to me all I had to do was reply with my name and number and the good people at Ticketek would call me back later.
Sorry about that. As you were.

I never get any of the f**king emails or a letter offering to renew it pisses me off. Every year I check they have the right email but still nothing comes through.

Seems like half the people here don't get the "In the Nix" emails, which is where they announced the membership renewals.

If you're missing out on those emails, you're probably missing out on other information too.
Best check Ticktek have your correct email address in membership details.

Strangely enough, I always get TWO copies on the In the Nix and other FFA emails.

Of course, if you get the emails but delete them/mark them as junk, you have yourself to blame.
