Fred is talking about how Ricki is going to look to Daniel to provide.

How can he do that Fred when he is hugging the left hand touch line???? We have absolutely nothing creatively in this game thus far. Hearfield and Daniel aren't involved and Coveny hasn't added much. To be fair, we haven't held possession, we just keep playing Alan Jones football.

MAKE SOME f**kING CHANGES. Daniel into CM. Gao on the left or supporting Smeltz + Covs in a  more forward role. Get Dodd the f**k off.

Right. End of a sh*te half. First 10 mins of the 2nd half we will see if Ricki has given them the hairdryer treatment or not. Cause right now only Mossy seems up for this.

A few comments before I switch to the Warriors:
-Mulligan has not impressed me in the least since he joined.
-Why are we banging long balls up when 50 minutes ago Durante said the team plan was to keep it on the deck?
-Moss has single-handedly kept us in the game.
-Has Bosnich been on the El**ch diet?

I hope I'm wrong, but when I switch back to the Nix at half-time I'd be surprised to see us in the lead.

What the hell was that? - 5 seconds to go and we're faffing around with short passes instead of ramming it straight into the box.

That's got to be one of the worst halves I've seen the Phoenix play. I'm disgusted with Herbert... what the hell is he thinking putting both Johnson and Dodd in central midfield? There's no doubt that the plan from the very start was to hoof it up the field and hope Smeltz and Coveny would run on to it. It's ugly football, it won't work, and the Phoenix is capable of a hell of a lot better. If we keep playing like this we will definitely lose and chances are either Dodd or Johnson will be sent off.

It's a long way from the worst half: try both halves against Adelaide last time. At least we are playing with some heart, even though the execution is uniformly poor. This reminds me of a typical Phoenix display from last season, which is actually really disheartening because it means we haven't progressed at all.

I'll give you that, they are playing with a bit of heart. But tactically it's a nightmare and the execution is shocking. The Phoenix passing is the worst I've ever seen in the A-League.
 
Sorry to be negative, but I have a lot of faith in players we have signed this year and I just can't believe that Herbert would try to play the kind of football being played with the guys he has available. Daniel should be on in central mid instead of either Dodd or Johnson and Gao should be out wide.

well two of our big off season purchases Gao and Bertos and one of our stand out distributors  in Ferrante are not on the park. This is a 0-0 team, though only perhaps because Petrovski messed up a couple of near gimmies.

Is it worth taking the gamble on one of our under -23s? We place a lot of stock in experience. How ddo you reckon Draper or Costa would go out there? Every YF team seems to include Costa. We won't know if they have got it if they don't get some time on the pitch.
