It's Going Cold, keep up the momentum, we must have an identity in time for the "Galaxy" game.

Other great internationally recognised football clubs have achieved this branding and use it to the advantage :-

Chelsea The Liquidator Harry J Allstars

So why cant we ?

Didn't know Chelsea had hijacked The Liquidator? It's traditionally been the Wolves / W*st Br*mich Al*ion anthem from the 70's (banned now from both clubs unfortunately).

When did they start playing it?

Dont know if anyone else saw 'World of Football' last night but Dennis Katsanos did an interview with composer John Psathas, he's a local who did the music for the 2004 Olympic Games.

He's also a big Phoenix fan by the sounds of things.

Dennis made the excellent suggestion that John should compose a song for the Phoenix.

Any thoughts ??

John's approach to and view of music is very different to the average persons'. He is a talented Composer and excellent teacher, his music truly is out of this world.

I dont think that he would write a song for the phoenix though, I think he is "above" jingles

Finally, Tony P, has listened to the wishes of the fans, many thanks Tony.

However the question still remains, Why did it take so long, considering the strong feelings expressed?

Also why does our tune take 3rd play behind, Ring of Fire and irrelivant drumming which presumably has to be paid for?

These are my views and should admin. feel it nessessary to censor them again prehaps they could explain their reasoning!

I can't help thinking that the club doing something for us which they are under no obligation to do, that 'Thanks, but why didn't you do it earlier' smacks of a lack of graciousness.

Just my thoughts.

As for 'Ring of Fire' there was significant noise about wanting that a while back, after the first Phoenix City campaign and before the second.

And this why the Phoenix will always have the support of us the fans - we not only have an awesome team, coach and players that give it all on the pitch but a management team that is willing to be one of the people and listen to us.

My personal opinion is that Phoenix City, should be played as the last rousing call to the fans in the stadium, before the teams run out.

On a personal note, I do appreciate you and the management taking on board the views of the fans.

To the Backroom Staff, Fever & Hard in particular.

I am thankful we are getting a say in our club, but I do not see why you are taking the high ground, in stating the obvious, "that the club have no obligation to initiate what the supporters want and ask for".

Having been a season ticket holder and shareholder of my club in the UK, I am fully aware of what the clubs obligations are,  but having attended high level meetings with many different chairmen directors, managers and supporters associations. I realise as I'm sure does Tony P, that to market the club and keep supporters happy, the fans have to be listened to, when their suggestions are reasonable and don't eat into budgets.

Stating the obvious is hardly taking the high ground.

None of us is a shareholder in the club, so it is only "our" club in an emotional sense.  They don't have to do what we ask, but they do when they can.

We would hope that Feverites would be suitbaly grateful for that.

The fact that Tony takes the time to come on this forum and read it, let alone post to it, isn't something to take for granted, so we'd like to see some graciousness in Feverites' replies to him.

Verbal foot stamping and complaining about how long he takes to respond is counter-productive and just plain out of order.

Speaking of high-level meetings, I'm late for one now: lunch.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

yes - Its just that I have (and will continue to have) items on the agenda in regard to what Yellow Fever members want to see happen - and the playing of Phoenix City was prob not heading that list - so great to see a positive reponse from the club

I think all the foot stamping about timeliness is a little over the top to be fair. As Feverish has said we should appreciate that Tony takes the time to post on a supporters forum. I'm sure he ha splenty of other pressing issues to deal with, and what song we as supporters want to hear can't rate highly. The fact that is is done is simply awesome and Tony should be congradualted for the efforts he makes.

OK, enough arguing over timeliness. The man asked us a question and we haven't really given him a clear reply. How about a poll?

Really??? Somehow I don't see too many clubs doing this.

Football clubs are a business, and there are only two people who they HAVE to listen to...accountants and shareholders.

As a shareholder of a professional football club, I am always open to suggestions from either fans, media or marketing professionals, to maximise profits and the publics perception of my club.

As I am sure Tony P is.

Bit off topic but i saw this piece on DW T.V. about the Bundesliga. Apparently each club is required to employ a fan liaision officer. Which i thought was an interesting idea. Do any other major leagues have this policy?
P.S. Play the song either when the teams come out if possible, or just before.
