Mark Milligan's been released by his club in Saudi Arabia, I would take him.

Would definitely take him, but he won't come here.

Yeah my hopes aren’t sky high right now but I’m excited to see who this could be. I mean in recent years we’ve had two ex-Premier League strikers (Ifill and Greenie), a former Serie A regular (Rossi), the record goalscorer of all time in the Serbian SuperLiga (Kalu), and a 17 time international for a top European country (Stein). As others have said CCM have signed the African fella who’s been playing in the Thai league for the past 5 years and is a rather uninspired signing, yet counts as an ex-EPL player.

Ifill had a handful of games in the EPL, but not Greenie who had a career as a (successful) 3rd or 4th tier striker. Not sure if he even played as high as the Championship. Good bloke, but not EPL standard.

Greenacre played for Stoke when they were in the Championship, also started out at Man City when they were at that level - although he spent most of his time on loan at lower division clubs

I stand corrected about Greenie and the Championship. Cheers.

I believe "Old Ned" Nedum Onuoha is looking at a gig at Hull, having decided against a return to Sunderland. 32 and costs goals, set up 5 against QPR last season. Although in the latter part he did come good again.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Emmanuel Eboue seems realistic, his agent says he wants to move to an Asian league

Eboue is one of the top 5 worst fullbacks Arsenal ever had! No thanks ;)

Sad story it seems with Eboue.

Eboue is also in the top 5 best characters Arsenal have ever had. He's a legend. Watched him play in that Legends game and he still has it, too.

Nedum Onuoha (Recently left QPR after a long stint, isn't prem level anymore and could maybe be hesitant to go to another championship team)

Christopher Samba ( Tenuous link but played with Ryan Nelson at Blackburn. 34 now, made a truck load of cash in Russia before returning to England at Villa last year, so maybe money won't be a pressing issue for him)

Gareth McAuley ( I know he played prem last year but he's ancient so maybe he would be up for an easy gig before retirement)

QPR Fan here (might've noticed Young Ryan below)

Ned - is going back up North (also been heavily linked with Hull) so won't come here.

Samba - Too expensive - won't come here

McAuley - has openly said he wouldn't be adverse to a move abroad. His mate Aaron Hughes (had a brief spell at QPR) played in Straya not so long ago.

I doubt whoever it is will be a household name - i.e Huth etc.

Steven Taylor. Not a huge name but any long time watching of the EPL would probably recognise him, especially cuz of his handball in the infamous Newcastle vs Villa game where Bowyer and Dyer had the fight.

Not only did he like them, but he's also gone back and unliked them, showing us he's got something to hide. Excited :)

Also saw Alex Jones liking our preseason pics, good to see he still keeps up with the club he never played for

Love the fact that there is some speculation happening, but would like some actual links to names... how are the kiwi boys doing, anyne heard how they feel they are progressing?

Taylor would be a great coup - strong in the air - real give no inch kind of mentality... would love him as a signing.

Also based on this we are signing Roly again as he likes everything they post.

Nah, Steven Taylor has zero links to us (apart from an ancient friendly match) and has no reason to be liking our posts. Doesn't even follow us on Instagram. Roly on the other hand played for us for a couple years and loves the city. No comparison

Yeah totally different kettle of fish there Aguero, there's no reason at all Taylor would even have the inclination of liking a nix post unless there was a genuine link there. Also fits the rumour of a former prem defender that was floating round yesterday.

Worth watching Steven's INCREDIBLE acting in this clip, and have a good laugh at Bowyer and Dyer scrapping with each other as well.

Great game to watch regardless. Shame about the poor refereeing. Newcastle had two clear cut pens denied and Villa got one that should never have been given.

I was surprised to hear he was still playing...I vaguely remember reading that he had a shocker of a debut for Portland?

Not exactly a signing that would excite, but makes sense to replace Rossi.

Worth noting that those photos have also been liked by Polish defender Jakub Rzezniczak.

And we thought Kalezić was hard to rhyme.

31 year old centreback with 9 caps for his country, currently plying his trade for Azerbaijani powerhouses Qarabag who were in the UCL group with Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Roma last season; gave them a good contest too. Previously spent thirteen seasons at Polish powerhouses Legia Warsaw, where he was a stalwart making 249 league appearances. However, he’s only one year into his two-year contract.

No links to the club that we know of, one to keep an eye on!

didn't know what to make of that one because he's still on contract till next year. Even less links than Taylor though, he would have to be in talks with the club to even know we exist. If both happen they're both central defenders - so do we play 3 central defenders or do we see Foxy shift to right back? He's got the pace but by no means his natural position

My hunch is that the Phoenix marketing team have set up a viral chain email circulating European football players saying 'please like these instagram posts and forward on to 20 other football players or your career will come to a horrific end'

Articles about him online says he played a role in his club signing the Icelandic international goalie, so possibly a bit of a dick move if he does bail on him.

Good find, yeah I really don’t think this one will happen. Having one year left on his contract kills it for me. However i’m waiting to receive my medal if it actually goes through :)
