Happy with this but would certainly feel safer bringing in one more body for midfield cover, maybe a young promising attacker too

Dunno where to fit Elliott into this but the gap in depth in midfield is rather concerning.

And another Slav in the mix?! Looking forward to some choice Croatian cuss-words from the dugout.

So is it Golek or Golets?

Original pronunciation "Golets".

Means "the naked one"  but also as a slang word for "skint".

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Does this mean, we could move Cacace to cover for Mandi if needed, where place Golec at LCB and Doyle at LWB

Mandi is the more creative of the two midfielders, not sure Libby could fill that role. Singh could maybe drop back and fill that role if needed, as that was gonna happen in the CCM game before they got the early red card in the second half.

Should Rudes be looking at Joel Stevens who's back in the country after trying to crack European football? A striker, still only 23, and making good noises about the Nix in the article on our news page.

No harm in inviting him to trial if Rudan thinks a backup frontman is what we need.

He'd likely be a better option than Burns. But that's not saying a lot

I don't think so. Burns is only one goal away from being a useful forward again.

What with our license situation, I don't think we have the time to be spending on Burns trying to get a goal.

Disagree completely, his touch and pass as well as the ability to beat a man have deserted him as well. He looks lost on the pitch and we can't afford to be giving him minutes in the hope he suddenly, magically regains form. Its gonna take a whole lot more than one goal to sort him out.

Gutted that we didn't go for or get Matt Miller from CCM instead if all the defenders. Miller would be the form right back in the comp.

still wouldn't have got him till next season. He's signed a contract with the jets for the start of next season.

Bruno Fornaroli has left City. I think he's definitely worth picking up of we can afford him. Of course Sydney and co will be trying to snap him up as well

Already going to Perth. Isn't allowed to play this year for a team (City made sure of that by not releasing him earlier) but apparently already agreed terms to play for Perth next season.

How they are fitting him under the cap I have no idea?

Can't wait for City v Perth next season!

Obviously will be Marquee, unless he's taking a pay cut as he hasn't played for two years.

How can they prevent him from playing for another club if they've released him effective immediately? Just curious...

The two parties have agreed to a severance package, meaning no other A-League club can sign him this season.

Seen a rumour he may play some NPL in Australia to get some form back before he goes to Perth next season.

As for the books, I'd say there is two books with Perth, one the FFA sees and one that is hidden away to keep all these players under the salary.. Who knows, maybe someones sister is getting a good payment or someone is getting paid to "Coach" their academy players as well as play.

He can sign for a club in a league with an open transfer window but as he wasn't a free agent when the AL window closed, he is unable to sign for another AL club this season. He wants to get his Aussie citizenship, so its unlikely he will head overseas for 6 months.

Bruno heading to the Glory probably means Castro won't be coming back, unless he comes back under the cap.
