What's with the 'T' celebration? What was it like after being dropped by bling FC? Asb v NSW PL, how do they compare in term of standard of play?

he answered the first one in his post match interview. His girlfriend gets confused and call a goal a "try", so he's celebrating the fact he's scored a try.

Can you just tell him I love him?

Does he think he was just lucky or can we rely on him to score a hat-trick most games now?  Tell him first that there is only one correct answer to the question.

Can you please ask him to keeping trying hard?!

What are the differences between playing as a striker in the A League as against his previous level?

Ahh. That is excellent. Let's hope for many more tries.

Can he talk about how the players feel re the AJ situation and if their own trust in NZF is as sorely affected as the fans (Both players and non players) seem to be.

Permalink Permalink

Can you cover the NZF/ Alex Jones fudge up please and get a round table on that (and round table means not a rant)

I am interested in hearing some learned conversation.

The problem with Powell not being on the field to take the penalty, is that the penalty was given to Apiah who replaced Powell, so if Powell was still on the field there may not have been the penalty.

Powell would have won the penalty. Fact.

But would all the play between Powell being subbed and the penalty being awarded have occurred the same if Powell was still on the pitch?. For all we know Powell might have blown an ACL 30 seconds after the time he would have been substituted and that would have been season over anyway.

Nah, Powell would have volleyed it first time into the top corner.

I was going to record part of my chat with Hektik Hektor, but it turned out it didn't feel appropriate. Sorry. We were kinda shutters down, just talking about the realities of life in the Fever and the RBB. With him being banned, a lot of what he had to say was stuff I didn't feel right publishing... it was in confidence. He might come over to the final round and if so I might organise to get him on the pod then.

Woohoo! We get 10 more years of watching the Phoenix lose to teams like Newcastle. Meanwhile, Hamish Watson see's double, and Storm Roux is a bit broken.

The TeeDubs tripped up in their quest for a home semi-final, and Cam has his usual wrap in Kiwi's Overseas.

The latest episode of Phoenix City is out now in your favourite podcast app!

The Phoenix pulled off a shock 2-1 win over Melbourne City despite playing without any strikers, and we discuss if they can pull off a similar result against Adelaide.

Patrick sits down with Welnix chairman Rob Morrison and talks about the licence extension and David Gallop, while the ASB Prem regular season has wrapped up and it's time for the semifinals. Oh, and we have some fun with Google Translate too.

Interesting that, unless I miss heard, Rob seemed to indicate that the first extension is triggered by an increased TV deal. I've also wondered if the metrics that they are targeting is a crowd average of 10k, purely because they brought the 10k up on the screen before the actual crowd.

not sure why you are shocked the Nix can't qualify for the semis. They have pro players. It's not an even playing field. They are in there by invite with conditions
