Hey - don't get me wrong Keegan is my mate and I am so proud of him - however I know people will think I'm just supporting him because I know him - so I have been very circumspect about his performances so far, some have given him a wide berth, some a very narrow one.  I think while the coach trusts him thats great and he is still learning and has made some mistakes but I can see he is working very hard to get up to speed as quickly as he can.

I think the harshest critics will say every mistake he has made, we can easily see Italiano doing the same, so at worst he is our best equal keeper.  And with his young age, and so much potential in front of him is making fan boys out of a lot of us.

Patrick, did you hear anything back from NZF after they accused you of trouble-making at QBE after you explained you weren't even in the city? Did you get an apology or did they just sweep it under the carpet?

There was communication - but no outright apology

Our All Whites vs Peru special is out now, http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts or in your favourite podcast app.

The playoff is here. We spend an entire pod talking about Hudson's squad selections, what the All Whites need to do to win the tie, and what the match will mean to football in this country.

Note: technical issues mean the quality is not as high as usual this week.

I want to be annoyed about this intro music but that's well played by you.

Long time lurker and long time listener, that intro is absolutely brilliant, burst out laughing at my desk.

Hudson should be showing the current All Whites the full Bahrain game as motivation. It proves it can be done!

Why does Patrick not introduce himself? The guys pull him up on his great use of english in the intro recently, but my issue is we miss an intro. Last few weeks (at least) its been - welcome to phoenix city, im joined by four of us..., lets crack on with the football.

Hah, yes 10 out of 10 for the intro music. Interesting sound quality in your recording space. That result today gives you lots of ammo for the next pod. Hudson's selections curious but proved to be spot on, in my opinion. Game played in good spirit by both teams, a decent game of football. Ryan Thomas... wow.

In time for the big game against Peru, the latest episode of Phoenix City is out now! http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts

A surprising 0-0 draw has the All Whites heading to Lima with everything to play for - Hard News joins the podcast to chat about what the All Whites have to do to pull off an unlikely result. Meanwhile, the Nix blew Perth off the park with a 5-2 win, and the TeeDubs have a late penalty to thank for getting them past Tasman United.

Hey! Don't be running down Sunnyvale! It's apparently had a bit of an upgrade. #TheTeamWithAThousandHomeGrounds

There was a good turnout in the stands for the NWL top of the table clash between Southern and Northern, and had around 100 viewers watching live.

Phoenix City need to be live broadcasting when TW meet Southern in a couple weeks.

No pod this week, sorry team. Completely unrelated to the massive sharkshow the Nix served up on Saturday.

(we just couldnt find a time that worked for at least three of us, mostly my fault)
