Really interesting pod having Dura, was great to get a bit of insight to how they are going to play this year and what he thinks of some of the young players and Sarpong.

Very interested to hear how they have changed how they are doing the 3 at the back formation.

Great pod with dura.

Too bad my question didn't make the cut :(

Excellent pod. Best yet. I appreciate the lack of banter about food etc and the focus on all the football topics. Keep up the good work!

And it was bloody good having Dura on.  Be fantastic if we could have a regular spot for the players to appear on the pod as it is awesome having their views on how things are going etc.

I really enjoyed having Drua on as well. Would be great to have more guests come on not just current players but also others in the football community adding their two cents and stiring thing up a bit

We are working on it with the club.

We hope to have several players on the pod throughout the season.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Hey Patrick, I just tried to download the poddy from itunes, but got a message saying the podcaster had used up the bandwidth allowance this month so the pod wasn't available.  Will it be in there today, officially being October and all?  Or is the above link the only way to listen to this particular poddy?

Will be a new one up today once the month rolls over. Should be able to play from front page of YF website still in the meantime (maybe)

Yeah Brandon's right, we ran out of bandwidth but as there was only one day until it reset I made the executive decision to just wait one day rather than have to start paying twice as much as we do currently. Should be fixed now!

The latest episode of Phoenix City is out now! The Phoenix played out an 'entertaining' draw with Auckland, and we discuss what it's like to draw with the third best team in the world. There's just over a week until the A-League starts, so the pod make their predictions about how the league will go, as well as talking about Fred De Jong falling on his sword.

Cheers for the ticket push... Only 1 of 4 of you coming though, at least Brandon is committed.

Patrick, it doesn't always rain on match day.  We went 2 seasons straight without a wet match.  It stopped raining just before kick-off in the Del Piero match at the start of 12-13 and didn't rain again during a match until the last match of 13-14 against Victory

Yeah but if we tell Sarpong that then he'll be disappointed if it does rain. This way, he can only be impressed by the lack of rain ;)

On the stadium naming an aisle. I'm not sure even Dura has done enough to have an aisle so I reckon they may just name aisle 21/22 the fever zone permanently.

thought I has the wrong podcast with the section about away wins, pulling off, double teaming, and Cam asking what's wrong with young boys.

Oh and stop being racist and calling Siggy and Dura old all the time

+ research the Kaiser Chiefs naming thing

Where is the blind faith on the pod?

My predictions for the year is:

1st: Wellington Phoenix

2nd - 10th: who cares, as long as the Phoenix win the regular season and the comp.

Yea easily.

And after such a blinder of a season Westpac sells out from season tickets next season.

Given the nature of the A-League, someone playing 10 years & 200+ games for the same club is an event that should be recognised in a permanent manner. If Dura hits 10 years captaining the club, he more than deserves an aisle named after him imo.

Bigger question is how do we recognise Lia if he gets to the 10 year & 200+ game mark with us?

We buy a goat, name it Vinniesta, and bring it to the stadium to graze at home games.

The A-League season is here, and so is the latest episode of Phoenix City! The pod chat about the Phoenix's first match against Newcastle. There's also some other A-League games happening this weekend, and the Junior Football Ferns have been scoring goals for fun in Tonga.

Yeah you almost had it you said a show with celebrities, something squares. Just put those two ideas together.

Manny at CB has not gone well before, we shouldn't be underestimating the Jets, they seem to have recruited okay, their fans are very optimistic. Even to the point that they think they will do a WSW and win it against all expectations.

Durante says it like similar to juror.  I've called him Durrah and he has responded.  Don't think it matters
