If he lost the Phoenix as tenants (i.e: the FFA kicked us out or we moved), what would be the implication for the stadium and where could he find other revenue streams?

If he had had to cover the pitch with loads of sand, would he spray paint it green?

It was a successful weekend in Auckland for the Phoenix, and Shane Harmon (CEO of Westpac Stadium) joins the pod to talk about it, as well as stadiums, clashing kits and green sand.

The WeeNix got their first win of the season in the ASB Prem, and Auckland City are off in Japan about to begin their Club World Cup quest.

I don't know who said it on the pod about Albany not being that far away, and appreciate he had lived in Auckland before, however the issue isn't distance it's access, spaghetti junction and the bridge are a nightmare at almost anytime of the day.  Public transport is an good option, but Aucklanders love their cars and that's not going to change anytime soon.

So Patrick royally kazoo-ed up this week, and recorded the pod through his laptop mic instead of the actual mic.

So as we talk about the Phoenix's loss to Adelaide, the own goals/red cards/penalties of the previous round of A-League fixtures and the upcoming weekend of games, we sound like we are recording in a toilet somewhere.

Did you add any flushing hounds for special effects?

Were you watching football in the background?

I found it sometimes listenable, whereas without that backgournd noise it would have been shark quality but very listenable.

We were at four kings and there was NFL on. Would have been okay with the usual microphones because I'm able to filter it out but because it was the laptop mic I couldn't.

Ah that makes sense then.  I was thinking you were doing it at home or something and was going to suggest turning off the telly when recording. 

But for one in a pub using the laptop mic it was surprisingly listenable.

It sounded like being in a pub catching bits of conversations and pretending you heard the other bits!

I think that the current team needs to wake the fudge up and realize we are on notice hence #Save the Nix..cause if they don't get themselves out of this slump then it will be save the crowds.cause no one will turn up
