Thanks for the 100, and continuing with the love fest this is one of the only podcasts that I actually keep up to date with (rather than having dozens of back episodes filling up my phone). I also drop the speed of it down to 1.0 when I listen to most podcasts at 1.6.

Even when there is the odd criticism on here just remember that that criticism only exists because the people who are making comments are listening every week and are engaged, for those people even having them listen long enough to get angry is an achievement.

? to 100 more

Technically you are all already listening at 1.1x speed, not 1.0 ?

Thank you for the kind words! More than happy for people to disagree with what we say. In fact, I encourage it! Would be weird if people actually agreed with me to be honest! I know that the podcast regulars certainly don't! Haha

Well that explains how you manage to keep it under an hour so often!

Just in time to listen ahead of the late night U20 knockout match, the latest ep of #PhoenixCity is out now at http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts and in your podcast app!

The U20's have made it into the knockout stage of the World Cup by finishing a remarkable 2nd in the group, we review the matches against Honduras and France and look ahead to USA USA USA. Meanwhile, Hudson's named his Confeds Cup squad (with a somewhat notable omission), and the rumour mill about the new Nix coaching team continues.

There's a new episode of #PhoenixCity out now, in your favourite podcast app and at http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts

On the eve of the new Phoenix head coach being named, the pod look at who should be on their shopping list for the next season. The pod also looks back at the All Whites match against Northern Ireland, and discuss whether Hudson will learn from the 1-0 loss or not, and lament the 6-0 drubbing for the Under 20's at the hands of the US.

Marinovic's team will play in 3.Liga in Germany next year so if he stays he won't be playing Regional football. Otherwise great pod!

Indeed. But he is off contract and hasn't been re-signed...yet.

New episode out! (sorry it's a bit late). http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts

The All Whites rounded out their Confeds Cup buildup with a disappointing performance against Belarus, we preview their chances against Russia in the tournament opener. Back home, the worst-kept secret is out, Darije Kalezic is the new Phoenix coach, and the pod are relatively happy with that. There's also a new Chatham Cup draw out and we wrap all the action from the local leagues.

What are the rules with player swaps? Are we allowed to contact the Victory about Jai Ingham when Barbajudas asks to be released. He would have done a job as a Kosta replacement, and saved us money, and an import spot to be used elsewhere.

The first rumors that Kosta had re-signed with the Victory surfaced online on the 25th of May, considering how far fetched that idea was there had to be fire behind that smoke, therefore Kosta was talking to the Victory well before the nix granted his release and also in clear violation of the rules around players talking to clubs while contracted.

The Phoenix said that there was no other club involved but clearly Kosta had at least sounded out the Victory and probably had an agreement in principle which means that he either lied to the Phoenix or the Phoenix lied to us.

So someone lied?

To be honest (and this is not a go at you) this is not exactly a revelation when it comes to these things...

Just in time for the final game of the Confeds, the latest episode of #PhoenixCity is out now! http://yellowfever.co.nz

The All Whites have put in a couple of very different performances at the Confeds Cup, and the pod are still confused about what Hudson is trying to do.

Back home, it's Round 4 of the Chatham Cup and Mirimar have a home game!

I heard News described as having a face for radio but never a voice

Hey so as you know im a bit of a fan of the pod. One favour though can you please crank the volume in the editing, i normally have to have my volume up near max to be able to hear it properly and using headphones its still quiet and can be drowned out by passing cars etc.

When is the next pod coming out? Is it taking long time to edit because of all the kazoo sfx you have to add in? I've already forgotten what Patrick sounds like.
