Good news for Clapham [and his fans]. Don't know a lot about Lovemore.

Fuck this stupid game

I think it's a great opportunity for both of them. Awesome news.

I bet they'll give everything if they can make it on the park.

Lovemore is the ideal player to play in a 433, and clapham wont let us down.

Both are preferable over toto

No Durante and Sigmund so we bring in two attacking players?

Looked very good pre-season v. Roar in Hamilton. Better than Pav has looked all season.

About time we signed a ginger.
Even if its only one game.

Lovemore should have been signed instead of Pav in my opinion. Think he would be a youth player next year still so maybe he will still come in.

Think Clapham needs to take this chance and impress, because I dont know if we will sign him up unless we really cant find somone better, however this may be his shot to stake a claim for an A-league chance

So...to those who guess the line up each week, do your thing.

This will be interesting.

If I were Toto, I would be spewing blood if I didn't get a start. What does it mean if you are literally the last professional standing and they draft in a couple of kids playing NZFC ahead of you? (Answer: that you suck balls.)

He won't start, but should be first off the bench, I doubt we'll see Lovemore unless there's an injury or we're comfortably leading. It would be cool if we emptied the bench and finished like this:

               Vukovic

            Musa       North
Troy                           Tony

            Brown    Ward

               Toto

Clapham                  Lovemore
               D-Mac
You know we belong together...

it would be even cooler if we finished like this:

                     Vukovich
      Hearfield North Lochhead
Clapham    Brown   Ward   Toto
     Rojas Macalister Lovemore

Hearfield is a makeshift rightback, highly doubt we would see him in a back three!!

                     Vukovic
Hearfield North Musa Lochhead
                   Brown Ward
Rojas                             Daniel
             D-Mac Greenacre

Crowther
Toto
Lovemore
Clapham

Starting:
                   Vukovic
Hearfield   Musa  North   Lochhead
                  Brown
Rojas                             Ward
                  Clapham
      D-Mac             Greenacre

Subs:
Crowther
Toto
Daniel
Lovemore

Finish with:
                  Vukovic
      Musa   North   Lochhead
                Brown

I think you are all being way too adventurous.  The most likely option is that one of them will bench it and the other won't make the match squad.

The whole bench bar crowther will get a run. We know how Herbs likes to take his wing men off at the 70 minute mark and lovemore will no doubt get a run for a tired greenacre or d mac

He's certainly is. I have no sympathy. He is taking a Kiwi's spot (Clapham)

I'd like to see Lovemore get a run. I remember his cameo in the pre-season against Roarcelona, and thought he was all class.

Team named on the Wellington Phoenix Website.

Hope James North is better than his brother Jade.

Edit: No longer funny (not that it ever was). Name changed back to Jade North in the article. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I believe he was personally picked for the team by Ritchie Herbert.
