Don't want those 20K+ turning up to be real quiet!!

Might need to make a page of them in the match programme, if it isn't too late.

A question for a first timer to Eden Park

1, what stand/area/section are the YF going to be in and what street/stadium/side enterance to get in there?

2, travelling by train from Britomart no problem to Kings???? how long to walk from station to stadium? also train back at 7.07 and 8.07 pm.....are there buses back into town and where do you catch them.

3, is the stadium like the ROF where you can buy a ticket and sit anywhere?

Thanks for any info....I tried the Auckland public transport website  and its shiite...it assumes you live in Auckland and know the names of everything.

Just a quick question: The thread reckons Fox's prior to the game. Wouldn't it make more sense to have pre-game drinks close to Eden Park so we're within walking/staggering distance?

Or am I reading things wrong?

Im not a complete idiot, some parts are missing!

It would have made sense to have it closer. But I don't think that any of the bars around eden park were to keen on hosting us rowdy lot.

I could be wrong

1. ASB Stand (around halfway)
2. 150 metres from station to sitting in your seat. Not sure about buses
3. Wont be an issue unless your sitting in someones seat, there will be plenty of spare seats anyway

This is great. Very wise move, will get a lot of fence sitters taking the deal. 20k on the horizon?

Any banners being made?

How about an "OCCUPY EDEN" banner?

The closest thing they have to Rojas is Slory. I hardly think he will play a pivotal role in their season at all.

Decent capacity. Given it's a Saturday arvo and I don't think much else is on around town there should be bugger all other punters there, just the fever, so should be ok.
Plenty of pubs in that same strip to spill over into if it comes to that.

Seems as though they have atleast thought about it:
Train info

They've added extra trains a well:
Additional services will depart from Britomart to Kingsland Station before the game.

Services will depart Britomart to Kingsland every 15 minutes from 2.50pm to 4.35pm.Toffeeman2011-11-15 13:08:33

Britomart-Kingsland is, in fact, $1.70 one way. Suck it up.    Doloras2011-11-15 13:30:38

When I got here six years ago, no-one but no-one rode the dilapidated diesel trains to tin sheds masquerading as train stations. The JAFAs have had to take drastic measures due to traffic congestion, and as a result, train patronage is now 10.5 million per year, same as Wellington's and up from 2 million in 2005.

Still dilapidated Diesels.  They need to get electification sorted... and bulldoze swathes of housing so trains run where people go.

Kiwitea St. station for instance.

(Joking.  I've always loved Kiwitea.  Steak sandwiches.... mmmmm).
