That was a cool bit of skill that led to Ifils cross and Browns goal. If I remember right Daniel flicked it over his head before being nailed.

Daniel needs more game time. Stole the ball time and again and tried to make things happen.

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

One paced, one trick pony.  Sorry, if you are still only a bit part player after four years you shouldn't be here.  Our standards have been raised last year and Daniel isn't good enough.  I know he's a top bloke and everything but really...That summed up the game for me and why we still have problems.  When has Daniel EVER come on and changed a game?

As I said earlier, Lochead also shouldn't get near the starting 11 again until he can up his game.  Somehow he's still living on season 1.  Can't remember the last time he did anything that made me go WOW - that was great!

People should lay off Brown.  Unfortunately, he's not good enough to be consistent every week but he puts his heart into it which is more than most can say on that showing.

It's called supporting the team. No player out there wanted to play badly or lose the game.

Real supporters support their team even if they play sh*t (case in point - if the Heart played sh*t their 'fans' would boo them )

I believe that Ricki made a mistake in not making any changes from Wednesday - it was silly really. We looked fatigued form the start. At the very least Daniel should've started. Was our best player when he came on and did some terrific defensive work.

Watching Melbourne Victory last night, they looked really fatigued towards the end especially and were lucky to get a point. Looks like a fair few teams will struggle after the midweek game.

That is fine and dandy but then why don't we throw fresh legs into the team to start? What about Toto, Daniel etc. all starting? Would of made a hell of a lot of difference imo.

Fresh legs were maybe a good idea. But we were obviously confident with our team that outplayed Victory during the week.

Heart were a lot better than Victory were, and the tiredness didn't help us.

im not sure that you can be so down on Daniel and Lochead and then sing the praises of Tim Brown who is an average player at best and has notreal skill to speak of apart from snatching the odd goal. he may have a big heart but has no real skill with the ball. no left foot and certainly wouldnt be in my first team...Daniel would!

I'm a big fan of Brown - might not have the skill but always pops up with the important goals.

Perhaps we can let the stats speak for themselves...

Today Tim Brown completed just 16 passes in 90 minutes according to the The Age website: http://livescores.theage.com.au/matches/football/match3936.html?page=player-stats&refresh=1284888371077

Even Hearfield completed more passes in the 39 minutes he was on the field!

For me, that confirms what I felt when I was at the game: that Tim just didn't involve himself as much as he needed to.

Ultimately though, we all know that Tim Brown and The Phoenix are better than today's showing.

Im with you on this.Yes we arnt playing well and havnt started this season looking like a contender. Will i be at the next home despite this YES you bet i bloody well will bet.Thats the difference between some of the real fans and all our fair weather friends.
Have seen some very crap games since our beginning and i for 1 will NEVER boo our guys off the pitch.

He/they don't seem to have another gameplan, that's the problem.

What do you call what they reverted to after the subs...?

I call it bringing on subs, certainly not some sort of radical 'plan B' that's for sure.

Steve-o they completely changed to a 3-5-2...what the hell else do you want from a coach? Used his entire 3 man bench and changed formation, clawing a goal back as a result.

If that's not a plan B I don't know what is

Too little, too late, and it didn't work.

Even at 2 down they were hardly piling on the pressure, just not enough urgency at all.

I don't know what can be done, but all I do know is that this away record is appalling and the buck surely has to stop somewhere.

Daniel came on and won us the ball about 4-5 times with good tackles so we had some possesion. If we'd scored from that he'd have changed the game. Daniel was better than most.

Daniel has more ability than Hearfield will ever have but RH sees something in Hearfield, sadly Hearfield not repaying the faith at the moment.

Thought recently Ifill and Brown were starting to come into a bit of form, how wrong they were both dreadful.

Also, Pavlovic and Greenacre (and D-Mac?) to start next week!

we need a decent LB, locheads positioning is awful, lets them get in behind all day long as witnessed today. A lot of our def problems come thru our left hand side.

To all you supporters that travelled from NZ and different parts of Aussies I would like to apologise on behalf  of the Wellington Phonenix  players on their sh*t house performance against a poor Heart side.
At long last RH has worked out that Lochead needed to be subbed.
Mr Bertos we need more than 15 mintues from you.
Nil points away from Birsbane, Perth and Heart and you all wonder why we don't get 10,000 plus for home games.
I'm the silly f**k that goes to Perth home games in my Phoenix gear hoping one day we will win an away gane!!!!!!
Am I pissed off YES.
I'm a true supporter of this team but it hurts when the players don't turn up to play.
Home results won't get you into the finals.
MAN I'M REALLY PISSED WITH THIS RESULT.

If we are all able to speak on behalf of people we have nothing to do with, I am going to go with these ones....

To all you people who go to Perth games in your Phoenix gear I would like to call you a c**t on behalf of the Wellington Phoenix players.

To all you supporters that travelled from NZ and different parts of Aussies I would like to apologise on behalf  of  the actor who played Gopher on the Love Boat for the Wellington Phoenix's poor performance against Melbourne Heart.
