That was a complete 90 minute performance - both as a team and as individuals. I thought we played the Victory off the park and their midfield to a standstill.
 
I thought every single player left nothing on the park giving it all for the cause.
 
Unfair really to single any players out but Rojas was phenomenal and I thought Lochhead was brilliant - he was up and down the line all night and his passing accuracy was first class. The whole Victory right side couldn't function because of the pressure Lochhead repeatedly going forward was putting on them.
 
Fantastic performance, great crowd and an amazing night - there is a god !!
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

still excited after that one. We were always gonna test them with Ward and Rojas out wide, but lets hope we can do the same against Central Coast.

As everyone else has said, total dominance and I can't fault a single Nix player tonight. Having Lochhead back gives the back four a solid look and allows Manny back into his best position.
So glad Big Mac is in scoring form. 4 goals in last 6 games.
Surely this is Ricki's best starting 11.
If only we could reproduce this brilliant passing game away from home. 3 home games left against teams all below us - Perth, Jets and Fury. No reason why we can't win all of those. Just have to hope Heart slip up somewhere.

Great game. Everyone was outstanding, whole team stepped up. Rojas wow. We must sign him for a further 2 seasons, we'll only get him for 1 but europe will pay us a fee.
Grandadi's prediction should have been right, clear handball in front of goal=penalty, funny that we got to see that the replay of that, so much for FFA regulations.
I withdraw some of the comments I made about Lia, he had a good game tonight.
Awesome 3 points, if we play like that we will beat CCM, heres hoping for a another great performance against them.

Marco was superb, massively helped by Pondelhak playing in front of him but you can only skin whoever is in front of you.

Lia looked desperate to score. Plenty of shots from him.

MacAllister is quality. Passion for the club and a good player too.

Unfortunately, there is just no pleasing some people, which is partly why I rarely visit these forums anymore.

Wonderful night of footy. Quite an expectant air about the crowd pre-kick off. The team didn't disappoint.

Despite all the missed chances I didn't think we were going to choke - there was so much determination in all the players in going for the ball and passes going to the feet of the receivers.

YF crowd in fine voice from the start and so much noise in the second half.

The walk back down the concourse afterwards was sheer bliss.

Haven't shouted myself hoarse like that for quite a while.

I've only watched games on stuttery internet feeds so this is only an impression but one thing that seemed to work well was Ward on the right. 
 
When we have Leo there and he gets the ball out wide his only option is to run at players either inside or outside.  With Ward when he cut in he looked for a pass both into the forwards feet or to the midfield who then switched the ball to Rojas.  Rojas was then in space and often 1 on 1 with the fullback.  Only a small thing but I thought it made a big difference.  Leo might have to stay on the bench for a while - he will always be dangerous coming into a game in the last 30 minutes anyway/

Great nite great TEAM performance,only disappointment for me was that Ricki didnt go for the jugular after we went 2 up.

Thoroughly enjoyed Merrick chucking tantrums on the sideline,had ago at 4th official late in the first half then ran straight to ref at half time.Must have worked though as they seemed to get many of the 50/50 decisions early in the first part of the 2nd half.

Fully agree with you.

Rojas on the left, Ward on the right - Tards didn't stand a chance! Both of them cutting in and looking up for players to cross to (or take a few soft shots at goal).

Melbourne B were very lucky to end up with just a two goal gubbing. It could have easily been 7-0! I still can not believe that the ref missed the blatant hand ball? Should have been a penalty and red card.

Congratulations to Ricki (legend!) and all the best for the next 100 A-League games.

Yes, in fact I was delighted that after going 1-0 up we didn't start playing backward passes as we so often do to protect the lead. I think the fact we didn't press quite as hard at 2-0 up was more to do with exhaustion.
